Think he sticks there for life. Definitely wouldn't jump for this job.

I really like the way Gonzaga plays, but Few wouldn't leave Gonzaga for LSU.

Some people need to understand LSU basketball isn't a very glamorous job.

Has anyone suggested raising John Woooden from the grave? Seems just as likely.

Give it some time, I promise a rantard will suggest. Or better yet maybe Magic or Kareem are interested, I think both have some coaching experience.

No way he leaves the Zags. It would have to be a Duke or NC job for him to leave.

Well, we did turn down Jerry Rice as a potential WR coach a few years ago.

See Dan Monson. He was the head coach at Gonzaga before Few.

He won 28 games his last year at Gonzaga and made it to the Elite 8, something Few has never done, (he has never made it past the Sweet 16).

Monson then left for the Big 10 conference and had 1 NCAA Tourney appearance in 7 years

Yep.

Some of the best ones so far. Wooden, Shaq, Shaka Smart*, Coach K, Phil Jackson & Avery Johnson. I think we are only missing Red Auerback (sp?)

I'm throwing Shaka in there so some of the rantards will realize how unrealistic that is also.

Mark Few isn't coming here but people acting like the guy is right there with Coach K and folks have lost their damn exaggeration prone minds.

We are really going to have to sell the hire. Basketball as everyone knows is #3 at LSU behind football and baseball. Might as well say #4 behind women's basketball.

Understanding your thought, how did LSU baseball become #2?

It certainly wasn't in many snapshots of LSU athletic history. In fact, basketball arguably had more drawing power at times than football and certainly baseball.

And BTW, basketball can be a huge money sport. The potential earning for an AD from basketball are on par with football. Baseball offers no such potential.
