I doubt it, since Grambling is a pimple on the arse of the world.

They usually use the Green Bay "G" anyway.

As a retailer, I can tell you that the retirement of Toonces is rapidly gaining momentum. I was talking to a national vendor regarding "if-win" LSU BCS championship t-shirts and 3 out of the 4 designs he showed me had the dreaded smiling Toonces on them. I told him no way were we going to go with those. He said, "you're not the only retailer telling us that." Within an hour he had a revised design for one of the shirts, this time with the Tiger Eye on it. Excellent! Now, that goofy tee had been transformed into a very cool shirt with some bite. Hopefully, you'll see it in about ten days at a retailer near you.

Local vendors don't even try to use it. They go with the Tiger Eye, the Fleur-de-Lis Eye of the Tiger or the Fleur de Tigre'. Or, the helmet graphic. They know: Toonces doesn't have a great sell-through.

We're seeing more and more national vendors get in the game with clocks, robes, house and garden flags -- virtually everything -- with anything BUT the Toonces Tiger logo.

I predict 2012 will be a big transitional year for LSU promotional graphics.

Still the best logo is the block LSU with the "kind of script" Tigers over it.........even though we sucked during it's period

At least they took that font, flattened it and it became the "Geaux Font" which is pretty badass

Never liked the Geaux Font....Always preferred the traditional Block Lettering.

should remain LSU's logo for a good while. Those older logos reek of the 1970s and 80s. The current one is clean and has an NFL feel about it.

Toonces and Geaux Font together make me want to puke.

I can't stand anything to do with the toonces logo. Won't buy a single item with it and my friends and family know not to buy anything with it for me. They may be getting a lot of money off of women and children but they've got to be losing a lot of money off of the guys. LSUshop.net had a t-shirt sale a couple weeks back and there were some shirts with the traditional tiger head logo on there. Every time I clicked on one, it was sold out. That right there should tell the merchandising honchos to start putting the traditional tiger head merchandise out in larger amounts. In Georgia the retailers, for the most part, aren't even aware that the traditional tiger head merchandise is available. Several have told me that all they get offered is the toonces stuff. They get no business from me; I end up having to find it from LSU's "college vault" merchandise online. There is a definite move by LSU to limit the sales of the traditional tiger head which is just plain stupid!

LSU public relations and media personel think it was the one best logo designs ever because it has genertated the most money over any previous logo.

I would suspect that this has happened because we have emerged as a top CFB program during the toonces reign.

Imagine how much more money we would have made during the same time frame if the logo wasn't shitty.

I vote for the eye of the tiger at midfield to become our new logo.

I like the round helmet logo too. It reminds me of that stuff my PawPaw used to wear.

Toonces looks cheap and like something Walmart would design as a fake team to put on clothes.

Another logo could have generated more money because I won't buy an item that has the God Forsaken Toonces on it. Give me a decent Tiger Head or just a plain LSU lettering on the same item and I buy it. I don't own or display anything with the Toonces logo.

I was at LSU when they had it done. They could have had a contest with students and gotten way better for next to nothing.

This is a fact...for everyone that hates Saban...we can give him credit for one thing...

Dan Radacovich who is the godfather of Toonces, had a meeting with Saban with the new logo on the helmet...DR proudly wanted to use it in a game...and asked Saban's opinion of it...Saban: I think it looks like shite. If you ever put that on my FB helmet....

thank god someone has common sense
