I'm happy to report that the Rabbit family is now living in Baton Rouge once again, after a far too long exile in the frozen tundra of the Midwest.

It's great to be back!

Now I can watch LSU baseball games on my TV, an occurrence that I've not previously experienced, except for regionals, supers & CWS, of course. One day, after we get all our goods unboxed, I'll have the leisure time to actually ATTEND a game at the new Box, which I haven't done yet.

Anyway, great to be back and I'm sure I'll be meeting some of you in person.

Welcome home Rabbit!!!

I'm looking forward to eventually moving closer so I can attend some games live and in person versus the cord from the 'puter to the TV!!

TigerCoop is having all the fun

I think I paid my dues. 16 years of winters where it got down to -15 degrees and as low as -35 wind chill. One year where it didn't get above freezing for 100 days straight. Not to mention terrible cuisine, awful sports teams and way too many people who refuse to embrace America. I'm talking Minnesota, of course.

I hear ya. Welcome home.

I may trade that weather for this life surrounded by gumps though and I hate the cold. Especially recent years.

16 years of winters

I spent the winter of '82 in Minneapolis for a consulting assignment. Sperry Univac brought people from all over the world for a massive computer project.

The food was tasteless! I could always spot the southerners in the cafeteria because they were shaking the salt shakers fast and furious trying to get some taste in the food. It never really helped.

I have been all over this country and that was the most tasteless food I have ever eaten.

That was the year the Metrodome collapsed near the end of the NFL season because of the snow.

I transferred to Huntsville.

You nailed it!

I was so desperate to get back to the South, and a good meal, that I lowered my standards.
