Sean Kelly is intriguing. I enjoy him on Pels broadcasts

In fairness to Hanagriff, I thought for a second that Stevenson had dropped it as well. A few of us realized that we were probably seeing the white on Andrew's spikes.

Oh and if Lynn Rollins get this job I'll never listen to an LSU game on the radio. I'll find the opponents radio broadcast

Of the group mentioned Sean Kelley is the only one qualified for the overall job. 1 guy, 3 sports.

Sean kelly is mentioned in article that nobody is talking about. Hoping he gets the nod. He is awesome for Pelicans games.

This.

i was about to post that. Sean Kelley is damn good at his job. Very sharp & always prepared..

And this.

Sean is absolutely fantastic at what he does. He's an even better person, too. As Lester said, he comes more than prepared every single day. It would be a win lose, because I have come to love listening to him for Pels games, but becoming the voice of the Tigers would be a well deserved promotion and it would draw me in to listening to more of LSU on the radio.

Not taking away anything from the other guys, but Kelly absolutely gets my vote.

maybe, but not sure why? cause Tulane is our "rival"?

he has a lot of experience in professional sports, with the Pels and Zephyrs. and he did all sports with Tulane. He has a very well rounded resume'. He'd be a great hire. imo

I agree. I haven't heard him do football though. Do you know if he's ever done it?

To say Wright isn't good at play by play is a fallacy. You can actually understand what's going on when he is calling a game.

He's very mechanical and has a monotone voice. I think he's below average.

who do you think makes more?

i saw Amin calling a fricking volleyball game before. Oh yea, that's so glorious

I would have thought he would be out of our league. He'd be a great candidate.

Something to keep in mind here while everyone is theorizing that "this was publicized just so everyone knows the locals were considered" ...

Remember the DC hire?

Everyone was using Steele as a joke punchline, as in "yeah watch, Les is going to hire Kevin Steele, lolololol."

Well, guess who got hired for real?

At first I thought you were talking about Hanagriff, but your comments were to generous to be him.

Kelley is clearly the best choice among the local names. And it really isn't even close, although Rollins and Netherton are legit professional play-by-play guys.

He has. He's done Tulane football. He has also done Saints preseason football on CST, although not as the play by play, but as a color analyst. He is very well-rounded with his sports knowledge.

yep. Give him 2 weeks and he would know LSU's programs better than Hawthorne, and im not exaggerating.

He's Hanigriff with a spark under his arse.
