You know who you are. I've seen at least 10 threads about Quinn and Ducre in the last 2 months. I find it cute that most of the guys whining (I'm sorry, "asking") about these players seem to hail from the same town or geographic area.

This is big boy football. If they can't beat somebody out or don't like their playing time, they can leave.

Quinn is a good player, but he has been passed by Tyron Johnson.

Ducre was a good high school back.

Truth.

Answer me this. Why do we have so many Trey Quinn threads? Seriously, there is a new one every week. WHY? Guy has caught one pass this season that I can remember.

You know the answer to this. It has nothing to do with him being from Lake Charles.

He use to be a valuable asset to the offense and has now dropped off the face of the earth.

Different people don't know the answer as to why and so they make a thread?

Thats my best guess, bud.

Valid questions, who knows. I know he was born in Baton Rouge and raised in south Louisiana. People began following him as early as 12 years old when he threw a no-hitter on national TV in the LLWS. His baseball career was special too and many followed that. We are not just talking about any high school player, his records were signficant, and against quality 5A opponents. He started game one at LSU as a true freshman which is not easy to do, and perhaps people like and want to see more of his blue collar approach, talent, selfless attitude, humble demeanor, and how he represents LSU? I do not see anything wrong with fans wanting to see more of their favorite player. Fans all have different reasons as to why they support players. I can also say from what I know that TQ8's fans are very diverse.

Ducre is a true freshamn, I think it is VERY premature to write the guy off.

I guess threads like this happen when we are in a bye week and people are bored, time to stir the pot.

Well he's also a true freshman. It's not like his career at LSU is done because he isn't getting snaps as a true freshman. We're deep at tailback and it looks like he is going to be playing fullback anyway. That's a pretty crucial position in our offense. It needs to be earned.

You're implying that it's white racists. If so, is the love for Ducre from black racists? What about Russell Shepard (Why does Les hate Shep?)

I think the main reason is that people following recruiting sometimes build castles in the air based on falling in love with a particular recruit. It has little to do with race.

I've noticed that these people will never be disabused of the idea that their heart throb should be playing were it not for a coach's ignorance or favoritism. They will be calling for Quinn and Ducre right up until they leave the program. Then for five years after they will recriminate.

Maybe I just want to see a guy that is fearless.

I don't think they are racists. I just think that a lot of people like seeing the white guy succeed in a normally black dominated position. That's not racist.

As for Ducre, there haven't been nearly as many threads about Ducre than Quinn. Ducre is going to get his eventually. I'm not so sure about Quinn.

Guys,

Michael Clayton had a blue collar approach. There is little doubt this term is aptly applied to Trey Quinn. After all, he is valued primarily for his blocking. It is not racism to say that a black guy with rhythm has rhythm.

I'm not sure about either. Ducre is behind a freshman. The most lusted after reserve in the history of the rant was Russell Shepard.
