Gump Propaganda Machine never stops working...

Crappy ESPN article from Gump propaganda machine
The Slobberfest over Saban and his Gumps is a 24/7/365 endeavor. If you click on the "NCAAF" button on ESPN's home page, you'll see plastered at the top of the page is a big photo with Saban in the middle of the Dodge Charger crew. Simply ESPN's display of celebration for the Gumps' annual recruiting success. Then three spots down is an article entitled "Why LSU, Georgia should temper signing day". Anything and everything to prop up the Gumps while taking the wind out of our sails.
By the way, another headline toward the top of the page is "OTL: NCAA inquiry into Baylor scandal ongoing". Hard to believe that, in the light of the recent exposure of Gump stars and their rides, that no one even suggests an investigation into the matter.

Nobody reading that junk he had 0 comments.

See Georgia at No. 3, LSU at No. 7 and Auburn at No. 9? It's nothing new for those teams to rank in the top 10 in recruiting, but they haven't of late produced equivalent results on the field and in the final AP polls. Then there's Texas at an atypically low No. 33. Maybe that's a good thing, though, as top-10 recruiting rankings have yielded what could charitably be called mediocrity in Austin.
So basically what he's saying is that we should not try to recruit highly ranked players and if we had less highly sought after players like Texas then we would be better off. Huh.

ESPN is on the way out. They are trying to prop their own ratings by coattailing.

I quit reading/watching ESPN 5 years ago. It is pointless and is nothing but propoganda. Why bother?

Thanks for helping them out

And the Bama obsession continues...
When a team wins 4 of the last 8 national championships, and was in the playoffs two other years, they've earned every bit of good publicity they get. Get over it.

30% of the posters here on the tiger rant & LSU recruiting forum are Bama fans. They sign up as LSU fans, post negative shite about recruits, our players etc.... They get others worked up and then post and show reaction on their boards.
They are some of the biggest losers on earth, 90% of the students at U of A$$. Are from out of state. Not enough people from Alabama with more teeth than sense.
Everything about Alabama is exaggerated. A smoke show with fog machines etc.... When it comes down to it they are very beatable. Just need neutral refs and to kick them in the nuts before they kick you.
Aranda and Canada are those kicks BTW...

First, this is how the game works. ESPN.com, like every other site, is successful because a lot of people visit the site a lot. In order to get you to the site and keep you there (because how long people stay on your site matters as well) they publish articles that are "click bait".
The articles that get people worked up and cause people to share with other people to read because "they can't believe someone actually wrote something like that" are the type of articles that drive traffic. There is no reason to get worked up about it. And while ESPN might not be what it use to be, its not even close to being "out of the door". They are too big.
People can complain about our recruiting and the fact Bama came in the state and took several of our top recruits, but you have to consider the fact that from the end of September to the end of November, the fate of our HC situation was unknown. If I were a recruit committed to LSU, I would have pump the brakes after the coaching staff, that had been recruiting me for the past year or more, got fired. I am sure that placed a factor in Bama being able to get a few of them.
Either way, there are 4 teams in the FBS that will start the 2017 season in which all 4 classes were a top 10 recruiting class. Alabama, Ohio St, Florida St and LSU.. In other words, going by recruiting class rankings, we are 1 of 4 teams in college football that has the most talented team. Don't worry about some article published on ESPN, don't worry about what Nick Saban is doing.. LSU has what we need to be a highly successful football program. If this coaching staff can utilize all the talent we have, we will be fine..
