and most will lap it up.

I imagine it was more of a 'no fried foods, dumbass' diet.

This is what makes me sad, there are people that have been brainwashed into thinking this wasn't an underwhelming hire because "he sounds like my cousin from Lafourche, he must be good despite what his resume says."

I dont think people weren't underwhelmed, I certainly wasn't excited

but rather than be miserable, I'm going to embrace O and support this team and see what he can do.

The sad part is that people can't move on and simply try to enjoy what is ahead instead of crying that the program is in the shitter when it just isn't (yet)

I think it's fair to have concerns that O is the product of a 2 year coaching search.

Just give the gumbo a headset and let it call the plays

Agreed. But that's more of a criticism of Alleva than Ogeron. I'm going to wait to judge O on his own merit according to the results on the field.

You do realize that O was the third choice. Not 1st, not 2nd, but 3rd choice.

Fisher was never coming and if Texas would have kept Strong than we would have gotten Herman. I agree the hiring of O was/is underwhelming but after plan A and B fell through it didn't leave much for options.

Let me make this clear. Ed Orgeron did nothing wrong here. I don't blame him for taking the interim gig and putting in work to get the permanent gig. Nothing will make me happier than to see him have a level of success here that makes the previous 15 look underwhelming.

Joe Alleva shat the bed. And my opinion of Joe isn't changing even if we one day are renaming North Stadium "Ed Orgeron Drive."

Ahhh the old "if you criticize LSU's hiring of a career D-line coach as its head coach you don't support the team" line of thinking. Look forward to seeing this in every single thread going forward

That doesn't make any sense. If CEO turns out to be very successful here it will just prove that Alleva made the right decision. Why would you still think Joe screwed the hire up if the guy he hired ends up being a winner?

I do not understand the logic of some tiger fans constantly looking for an I told you so moment rather than seeing how things play out.
