You will see both of them on sunday after they finish their business at LSU.

So the true freshman who is a much more dynamic runner had almost as many carries as Williams, and if you fact in other touches (catches, returns) had more overall.
I like Williams too but it's pretty apparent Guice is better. Williams will still see looks this year but he's going to be the 3rd running back by a pretty far margin.

I was originally thinking rushing yards rather than total carries, my mistake.
Regardless, I don't know that 9 carries constitutes a significant difference.

I think Guice has more carries too.
Miles is loyal to Williams though. He's a future NFL back. He'll get his.

Yeah lets please put this Welter crap to rest already. He played because Beckwith was not mentally ready and we had no one else to man the middle and make the calls, end of story.
I love Williams as a runner but I love Guice more and I am pretty sure Miles does as well. Guice will get more carries, that is just how football works you play the better guy.

Its likely Guice will get more touches; both passes and runs. However, my concern is predictable packages. When Williams is in the game, it can't appear obvious he is getting the ball between the tackles or when Guice is in, we are throwing flare and screen passes...How many of us can anticipate our plays based on who is in the game? If we can do it, those paid to pick up on tendencies have it too easy

I could see Williams being the short yardage specialist and "the closer" if we have a solid lead in the 4th and we're just looking to pound it out.
Could also see him getting some runs at the FB position to get him on the field.
It's obviously going to be the Fournette show with Guice being the change of pace back.

Guice is awesome between the tackles too
Williams will likely get short yardage stuff and other occasional carries between the 20's.
but there is no predictability with Guice or Fournette

Fournette is your money man.
Guice is your change of pace guy who I wouldn't be surprised is lined up in the slot from time to time. Guice and Fournette in the same formation could be dangerous.
Williams is your late game finisher. When defenses have been chasing the other 2 around all game Williams comes in and ground and pounds them in the 4th quarter like Hilliard in 2014.
The key to this team is to have the lead going into the 4th quarter. If they do that they have the defense and running game to close it out.

Williams reminds me so much of Kenny Hilliard it's not even funny. They're the exact same size, down to the pound, and are both bruisers with surprisingly light feet.
That said, Guice will have 1000 yards from scrimmage next year.

Guice got twice as many carries as Williams last season, even becoming the go-to back when LF was nicked or resting (remember South Carolina?). Why would you expect anything different this season?
No he didnt. Williams has slightly nore carries.

Twice as many is a pretty clear exaggeration. But the point stands
What? Williams had more carries than Guice. How does your point stand?
Posted on 7/20/16 at 8:56 am to Chris Warner
Williams will/should be used in short yardage situations only. Completely different back than Guice. For one thing, I don't recall Williams ever having a run longer than 4-5 yds.

Yeah i also think Fournette and Guice are harder to bring down than Williams.
Watching all 3 i think Guice and LF run lower and behind their pads more than williams. IMO williams will be a nfl back with a lot of tread left on the tires.

Yep, ALWAYS !!! That's why Anthony Jennings was the starting QB all year last year and Brandon Harris rode the pine.

Okay I say screw it. Lets go with the 3 back set! Williams at the FB spot and Fournette and Guice spread behind. Let the defense sleep on that one!

Wing T baby. Williams fullback, Fournette Tailback, Guice Wingback. O line is all about technique and can beat the bigger d lines with head placement and quick feet.

Career long 40 yards vs eastern michigan in 2015. 2014 long was 20.
He isnt a too the house back for sure.
