All of the bars are gonna be slammed, but Kroll's, which is across the street from Lambeau, has good butter burgers and cheese curds. It's kind of a classic restaurant, been around for forever. Sammy's, which is just down the street from the stadium on Oneida, has good pizza. Our group will likely just eat at one of the bars on Holmgren.

Kroll's

From Chicago you take 94. I suggest you download Waze and follow whatever directions that gives you.

Cant remember if I mentioned it or not but I was called by Hinterland the other day asking for a credit card to secure my reservation...girl on the phone said they were expecting a HUGE crowd Friday night so that should be fun. Glad we booked something when I did.

Also made some reservations for 6:15 at 1919 Kitchen & Tap. I'm assuming we'll only be able to watch the Packers game but hopefully they'll have one game on the Vandy/USC game, although I won't ask for it and am not expecting it.

Looks like we've got about 30 ppl coming over to the house on Saturday...boiling about 40 lbs of shrimp and doing a chix and sausage gumbo I know for sure. Wheels up for me at 8 am today and I hope to see you all at Hinterland tomorrow night.

Reservations for Hinterland tomorrow night at 6:30. I'll be the one with the tall and even taller sons flanking me. Missed out on the high dollar tailgating event on Saturday so will just be roaming the streets beers in hand.

Bar hop on Holmgren. Or, the east side of the stadium by the Oneida Nation gate. Best area.

Bars around the stadium will be open by 7am on Saturday. Others around town will be open by 9 or 10am... Which is standard.

Remember to ask for the beer chaser with your morning Bloody Mary(s). It is standard form in Wisconsin and should come at no additional cost!

Flying into Milwaukee tomorrow morning, have an RV waiting in Green Bay. Our slip is at the Tundra Lodge. This work day is taking forever already.

Just wanted to say on behalf of everyone in this thread, thank you for your spot on recommendations. My group had an absolute blast in Green Bay (minus the three hours Saturday) and your diligent responses were a big part of that.

Enjoy the rest of your season and hope we can return the favor if you ever need some local recommendations down in Louisiana.

we had a great time also minus the actual game
Green Bay is pretty perfectly set up to that kind of thing and I honestly didn't know it was the first college game in forever

once in a lifetime trip and I'm so glad we went

onward...

Absolutely, my pleasure. Really fun weekend all around. Met a bunch of great LSU fans Friday night around the stadium, and before and after the game Saturday. Proud that my hometown put on a good show.

I would love to take in a Saturday night game in death valley. Didn't get to try any of that Cajun cuisine this weekend. Someday.

How emotional is it seeing Lambeau for the first time? Isn't just amazing? You cant prepare for those feelings.

Probably means a bit more to packer fans, but that scene and environment were up there with any rose bowl I've been to. Had the feel of a major bowl game for sure.
