We did what we wanted tonight. Lange allowed the BP to rest and we are that much closer to our pre-season goals.
Host a Super and win the SEC Title.

We have had our mid-week struggles, but we right where we hoped in February.

Too much negativity in this place. I for one am excited about the home stretch. Let's GEAUX TIGERS.

Lange was awesome.

Auburn started their #4 pitcher for some reason. They only used 2 today and have their ace going in game 3.

Luckily our hitters saved up their hits for the weekend ;

I thought our pre-season goal was to win in Omaha, as it should be?

I think we still look like shite vs teams we should beat easily. I dont see how losing almost every midweek game helps us come a long post-season run.

LSU won't be throwing Strall, Keil, Fredrick, Reese, and Peterson in deciding postseason games that's why.

Russian, evidently this clown's life sucks. He can't even enjoy a dominating win or just leave it alone without having urine drain out of his diaper.

Actually I have been pretty optimistic, but our problems in midweek games extend beyond the starting pitcher Paul throws out there.

I mean, the OP said this is where we wanted to be in Feb. No, I did not expect Lange or Poche to have this many losses.

Elite pitching has pretty much shut us out. We have real problems (at the plate specifically) that have not gotten better.

But yea you got me, pissing out of my diaper.

Elite pitching "pretty much" shuts everyone out. That's why they are called "elite."

Our on-base percentage is exactly the same as it was last season, .385, when, according to the Rant, the best hitting coach in the entire history of college baseball, was our hitting coach.

And our team batting average is only down by .005 from last season, .295 vs .290....not statistically significant. ETA: The .005 difference is equivalent to .75 fewer hits every week of the season, not game, but WEEK.

And our pitchers actually have a better 'batting average against' percentage this season, .238 versus last season's .252.

You're a victim of confirmation bias.

You've read numerous Chicken Littles on the Rant repeating how horrible our hitting is this season without checking out the facts.

So every time one of our hitters doesn't get a hit, everyone of the Rantards just nods his head and says, "yep, just what I've been saying, we can't hit this season."

I wouldn't mind Reese getting post season innings. Peterson as well.

ETA: Because I don't want to see the same three or four guys used in relief every single game.

The majority of the misanthropist don't know any facts at all yet they get on here and expect people to take them seriously. It's comical

Oh yea absolutely in game one of a regional or a blowout but 75% time you're going to have your main 7-8 guys.

As I highlighted, our pitchers are not having an Elite year. ....

SO NO, to the OP's point, this is NOT where we expected to be based on our RETURNING starters....

Last year is last year. We are in the bottom half of the SEC for ERA.

No, I watch the games and form my own opinions. We have numerous reoccurring problems during every series.

This is not a team, at this point, we can expect to outperform any of Paul's teams in Omaha. If they even get close to making it.

Again, to the OP's point, THIS SEASON did not go as we EXPECTED....

I dont know why me saying that puts you people in rage and accuse me of "hating life".

Our ERA was in the bottom half of the SEC last season also.

But, our team ERA is better this year than it was last year, 3.87 vs 3.97. Is that not an improvement?

Obviously you form your opinions based on something other than facts.

quote:

Nowhere in the OP does he say "this season did not go as we expected."

In fact, he says, "we are closer to our pre-season goals" and "we are right where we hoped in February."

That's the opposite of what you claim the OP wrote.

I dont know why me saying that puts you people in rage and accuse me of "hating life".
If you're including me in "you people" you'll have to link to where I've written that you "hate life" or that I'm anywhere near being in a 'rage.'

All I've done is point out the obvious fallacy of your opinions which are refuted by indisputable facts.

Your reading comprehension is bad. I disagreed with the OP's point that the season is as expected back in Feb.

That's the opposite of what you claim the OP wrote.

See above, if you are going to reply to me, then keep up.

There is no fallacy other than the one exaggeration of midweek games. You got me bro.

You guys keep pointing to last year. Great. I do not have to agree we will make it to Omaha based on last years stats. Call it negative, whatever you want. Its my opinion based on how this team is playing. How inconsistent our pitching has been and how spiky our bats have been.
