You have to give it to the guy. He took a bunch of young talent, molded then into a team, and made them all believers.

We are super regional bound and next week should be considered gravy.

No gravy needed this weekend, just ate all the rice. CC is a good team and have been to BR before...

I'll credit the players for bonding, believing with one another, and bringing a mature attitude to the diamond.

Yeah. No way a good coach can do any of that, huh?

Yes, a good coach could do that.

Do you give Mainieri any credit at all for this season?

Agree, he did a great job and is one of the best in college baseball, but like our fb coach a vocal minority will never give him due credit....

this is LSU, where coaches get all of the blame when we do poorly and none of the credit when we do well

but in all seriousness, this may be Mainieri's best coaching job

Paul Mainieri recruited them, signed them, coached them up, and put them in the best positions to succeed.

Paul vexes me at times, but for this team, after losing so much from last year, to be hosting a Super Regional, is a tremendous coaching job.

This was mainieri's best coaching job since coming to BR, without a doubt.
