Great interior defense by LSU tonight

They finally played defense the way it is suppose to be played. I do think that Vandy is WAYYYYYYY over rated but a road win in the SEC to start the season is awesome. It was finally a fun game to watch.

Actually you need to switch that word interior to perimeter and you've got it. Our interior players weren't forced to pick up the ball heading in for a layup, so they were actually able to stay with their men. We finally did a reasonable job stopping the ball.

Vandy isn't overrated. They're missing a big time player who would have taken Simmons out of the lane to guard him. That said, Simmons/Victor played with great effort. Quarterman struggled on offense, but helped out on D. Gray even helped inside.

Defense is 75% effort. LSU played with it tonight

Kornet would have definitely made a difference.
