Please refresh my memory, didn't Skip Bertman proclaim this to be the golden era of tiger athletics? It doesn't seem this way to me!

Guess I don't know what golden means!Please tell me all the golden things we have achieved.Football playoffs,NCAA in basketball,Short stay in Omaha.Oh,I forgot, we are a golf school now!!!

I don't know about Golden Era, but Alleva is on my Mt Rushmore of LSU greats.

Golden Age of LSU had to be when Chris Jackson, Ben McDonald, and Tommy Hodson were all on campus. 1988-89

Simmons, Lainge, and Fournette are equals or better than that bunch. But neither group represents the Golden Era. As pointed out, that was referencing a 2008 quote and fits very well from 2003-2007.

In the list, 2005 = SEC CG appearance (in the aftermath of Katrina and Rita).

The Golden era started in 2000 with our CWS title and probably ended in January of 2012
