You simply do not start Guice over Fournette when Fournette us healthy. Period

Like many others on offense, Guice should have been more involved. LF deserves what he gets, but Guice does too, they should both be getting significant carries. There are enough carries for two guys to be able to eat!

Dude was the truth.

Everyone knew he was going to run the ball and he still got his 200 ypg.

More than I can say for Leonard.

They will both rotate back and forth all game long. Remember, we have a QB now so need to have fresh legs.

Travis Henry played in the late 90's and was a late 2nd round draft pick; there have been literally hundreds of players that played since then that are better examples for someone trying to say that Fournette isn't "the best player to play college football in how many years".

It's like someone saying "Etling is the best QB in how many years" and you saying "He's no Josh Booty". It's just confusing.

This is Fournette's last year. He needs to do well and get drafted really high to entice other quality RB's to sign with LSU.

You have to question the logic behind starting any RB over a healthy LF. All due respect to Guice, he's played his arse off and he's done more than just hold down the fort, but we're talking about a once in a lifetime talent in LF. When he's healthy he's the best RB in the country and it's not even close.

It should be a fun finish if those two stay healthy though. It should be disheartening for opposing defenses to see LF leave the field for a breather only to watch #5 come trotting out onto the field.

I'll tell you what would be really scary though, seeing both of them on the field at the same time. Imagine an 11 personnel package with LF in the backfield, Guice in the slot, DeSean at TE, and Chark/Dupre out wide. Dangerous I tell you. Dangerous.

It really doesn't matter who starts the first play. What matters is the distribution of carries. I hope the staff takes it easy on LF if he isn't absolutely 100%. We will get closer to his best in limited touches, if that is the case, and we know this offense will work just fine if Guice gets the majority of the carries.

However it works out, it should be all about the players' health. LF is the top back, and that hasn't changed due to injury.

Obviously, I'm in the minority. But approximately 20% of the board agrees with me that Guice should start. Very interesting thread.

If I'm an opposing DC I'm not too concerned with any other RB's on LSU's roster unless/until my D get's tired of tackling LF and Guice. No other RB on LSU's current roster is in their league!

They are both going to play. Starting is just a term when it comes to our RBs. I am interested in seeing what LF looks like in a single back set. If he looks good. It will be a long day for the Ole Piss D.
