Williams is a solid, reliable guy, but he does not have anything close to the ability that Guice does.

He needs to start as the slot receiver.

Might as well. Our WRs don't seem all that concerned with catching passes this year. Maybe seeing Guice take PT from them will light a fire under their asses.

I'm not saying that Williams sucks. He's a solid power back, but if you can't see that his skill set is more limited than Guice's, then I don't know what to tell you.

I think Williams is better at this point.

Would like to see him and #7 in same backfield

We've seen it a handful of times already. I specifically remember them using it in a short yardage situation against Auburn. Harris handed to Williams and he got the first, but what made it interesting was the triple option action by Harris and Fournette after the handoff. You can bet we'll see that one again, and that every DC we will face has taken note of that lineup.

I was just advocating that Guice be moved up to the number 2 back in an earlier post. However, this running FB role with Fournette or Guice, and obvious power situations are bread and butter for Williams. Even if Guice does pass him eventually, he has a valuable role in this backfield.

You can tell that off of the limited amount of playing time that Guice has had this season?

Look, might he be the best to ever come through LSU by the time he leaves, sure...maybe, but I'm not ready to say that he's so far ahead of a guy that has been here for a full years and has proven his worth.

So you want to take carries away from possibly the best college running back ever? That's an interesting strategy .

No, he wants Guice to be the second RB. It's a good problem to have.

So you're saying you would take touches from Fournette and give them to Guide?
