Geaux zone on Android and 3G service?

I was wondering if anyone has had an experience with Geaux Zone on an Android OS? Also, if so, have you had any trouble with it with 3G or if it only works well on 4G?
My carrier is not an authorised Iphone dealer, so I would have to pay an arm and a leg for an Iphone. Also the carrier only has 3G speed. So I was thinking of getting a Samsung Galaxy, but don't know if Geaux Zone will work.
I can't change carrier cause I don't pay for the phone, my company does. So I might have to break down and shell out some cash for an Iphone.
Thoughts/Suggestions

I just got the 3GS IPhone and I can listen to Geaux Zone, but can't watch games live. I can watch some video highlights after the game has been played.
I can watch games on my wife's IPad.

verizon has it in places. there is one little spot in BR for sprint.
