It's embarassing that LSU is STILL developing game plans to hide their QBs.
And this is not a well-kept secret. Like trying to hide a battleship.

A&M game plan was exactly what the coaches should use with these particular QBs skill sets.

yes. just frustrating it took them THAT LONG to figure it out. reminded me of how the passing game seemingly opened up after the TAMU game going into bama in 2012.

mariota would have gotten snapped in half if he played in the SEC

HAHA are you serious? He's 6'4" 222 lbs. That's bigger than most of the LSU QBs during the Miles era and we haven't seen any of them get snapped in half. Johnny Manziel was 5'11" 205 lbs and made every SEC defense besides LSU look stupid.

first of all, mariota didn't play college ball at 222 lbs, he played at 212 lbs. that extra ten pounds was put on during the combine. also, he has very long arms and legs and they're fairly skinny, he doesn't have a very sturdy frame, pay attention to his first year in the NFL, you'll find out. secondly, and i can't believe i have to explain this, the stupid video game offense that mariota ran in college with IZR being the play call half the time exposes the quarterback to more hits and if mariota would have run that in the SEC, he would have gotten snapped in half, no doubt.

manziel is a perfect example of how a running quarterback gets banged up in the SEC... you can barely talk to an A&M fan about how LSU handled manziel both games without them bringing up manziel being hurt both games. you can't have it both ways, you can't have the benefits of a running quarterback and not take the injuries, especially in a conference such as the SEC. also, you forgot about the florida game during manziel's freshman year where the gator's D held manziel to 17 points.

Who cares if fans whine over 17-10 games.

Because beating a crap team 17-10 is often followed by being beaten by a good team b/c we can't pass.

I think LSU needs to go back and understand what their quarterback brings to the table and not do too much.

...Wait, what was the question?

Miles, because of his 1960s style game plan, consistently puts our QBs in bad situations like 3rd and 8 or 3rd and 11 with a two receiver pattern.

If this is the case vs A&M, we should score 60 against that 3rd and Chavis defense.

205 was Manziel's combine weight so can we say he was probably 185-195 in college?
