Garrett Temple sighting

Who would have thought he would be playing in the NBA and Tyrus Thomas would be out of a job.

Dude can play some defense

I always thought he could have been the next Bruce Bowen if he could have developed a jump shot. He could def lock down anyone

There was never a doubt for me that he would earn a spot somewhere with his talent on D.

Tyrus' worst trait was that he's lazy and entitled.
You have absolutely no idea what you're talking about man. I know several people who claim that Tyrus was one of the harder working individuals they've ever known. In high school, he was under 6' as a freshman and couldn't even make the team. Grew to 6'10 and played with the most intensity that I've seen from a guy at LSU since Shaq.
Bottomline, I hate when people are falsely accused of things by the media, and this is a classic case.

You seem to have some knowledge about TT that we're missing. What caused his fall. Injuries, or money in the bank that took his edge off?

He can't shoot or play defense. Tyrus is/was an energy/hustle guy. Jordan Mickey is similar to Tyrus except Mickey can play better defense. Mickey is only 6'8" though and he'll need to develop a better offensive skill set if he would like to realize some longevitiy in the NBA.

I hope JJ Reddick still has GT nightmares from time to time.

Just b/c you play hard, doesn't mean you work hard.
At no point in his nba career did he better himself. He was the same hustle guy that could jump. Hard work off the court might have helped him develop a better jump shot, maybe put on a little weight so he could actually guard an opposing PF.
David West couldn't shoot when he came in the league, but he worked hard at it.
Taj Gibson seemed pretty worthless outside of his hustle, but he worked hard and can hit an open jumper now.
Dajuan Blair is still in the league and he's like 6'5". There's tons of hustle guys still in the league, it's just that those guys are working hard on and off the court.
I don't know Tyrus, and i don't konw what he did in the offseason. If he did work on his game and still failed, then he just isn't talented enough to play in the NBA, but I doubt that.

Dude put in a lot of work to grown from 6' to 6'10" in just a few years.

The guy's point is how do you know he didn't work hard off the court and just got little results/improvement. Shaq, for a time, worked hard at shooting better free throws and improved very little. Scottie Pippen was a bad free throw shooter at one point and became a good one later. Everyone has limitations no matter how hard you work.
FWIW, I've never heard of Tyrus being lazy. I feel like thats just a "lazy" answer people like to give when they're asked why a guy didn't pan out. But start a Miles vs. Saban thread and plenty of research will be done.

in high school and college these "people" knew him.....I mean shite Jamarcus was great team leader and awesome guy in college and once he got the cash he changed

It's great to see Temple hanging around in the NBA. Saw Chris Johnson on the Portland bench last year too. LSU definitely has its fair share of NBA players.
