Let's get a run here. We've had our chances, hopefully we can come through.

Geez Bell and Simmons look really lost at the plate. Really disappointing. I think we need to move Simmons to the bottom of the lineup.

Felt like they powered down after the 3rd against UCONN and couldn't get it back.

Landry, Bell, Simmons, & Kloss were a combined 0-13. Do not think it is likely for that to happen again.

Terrible game in the night cap. 8 walks and only 1 run. Lot of grounders right at people. Janquish was on though. Bell and Simmons struggling at the plate and Bell flubbed one on D.

We had the bases loaded with no outs, and had runners in scoring position and aren't able to bring anyone in. Torina looked really pissed off. Landry, Bell, and Simmons haven't played well through any of these games really. I know its the beginning of the season just a little shocking how lost they have been at the plate.

Whats most disappointing is that they give us 8 walks, had the bases loaded with no one out. Gave them and unearned run and we still lose. Torina is really infuriated with Bell right now, you could see it in her face.

With the flashy gloves of some of these freshman, I wouldn't be surprised to see Bell at DH a good bit this season. GOAT type hitter but average (solid, but average) fielder at SS.

Bell lately has been either a hit or miss at the plate. She can be amazing or a mess. She leaves a lot to be desired on defense. Personally, I think if she struggles, Beth will not hesitate to put Serrett in a SS. Personally Sanchez should start at 2nd.

Exactly!

Let's see who else got beat this weekend...
Alabama was run ruled,
UCLA,
Oklahoma lost 2.
UCF
Minnesota run ruled by Long Beach
Baylor lost to McNeese

It's the first weekend. Coaches are trying to see what combinations work and don't work. A loss here and there in these tournaments is not always a bad thing. Now we can see what needs to be fixed.

Are there concerns? Yes, there always are and no matter how good we are, we have things that we need to fix, combinations that work and some that don't work. The coaches and players know this and they will be working to fix mistakes and find the combinations that will bring us the best opportunity for success.

That's the way I operated as a coach during the first two tournaments and by the 3rd, I usually had it about where I wanted it when district started.

My only concern for today is how we rebound from the loss last night especially since we play Pacific again. If we play well and are fired up, then that bodes well for our mental outlook of our team. I'm sure we will do well today.

We play almost 70 games - this isn't football where 1 loss can ruin a season. We will be just fine.

I really like Bourg at center.

Time to rebound from yesterday it happens.

Hoping Bell and Kloss bats come alive

haha we all bitch about Bell and on cue she gets an RBI hit

...but yeah she needs to hit considering how she is defensively, especially with Serrett in the wings

Tigers up 7-0 in the Bottom of the 3rd. Torina was not happy last night or with press after the game. Love the fight back by the ladies though.
