Why not just let them have a home game at Tiger Stadium?

Is that not the protocol for Hurricane Games?

USCe can't play, then they need to forfeit.

All this reschedule business is over. You got a game to play. Can't play? You lose.

In 05 we went to Tempe to play Az St due to Katrina, and the campus wasn't even flooded. Just full of refugees.

Don't see why they couldn't do something similar, but the SEC administration has become pretty pussified since then.

SEC (and former LSU) spokesman Herb Vincent said Sunday there have been no discussions about the game as yet at the league office.

“Not six days out,” he said. “We’ll see what reports we get this week.”

6 days to completely change venues by 750 miles is really fricking short notice there Herb

That's really short sighted by the league. You would think you would at least plan for the possibility of having to change locations, even if it's not likely.

Herb has not heard back from Saban as to what he wants the league to do. Never forget the REC runs the league.

Picture and text from Meteorologist for Columbia ABC Affiliiate, Jonathan Kennedy, yesterday: "Chevy Surburban with trailer completely submerged on Key road next to Williams Brice. Stay off the roads at all costs."
Still doesn't look like something 6 days is gonna fix.

it may not happen in Columbia, but it will be moved. USCe and our bye weeks don't match up, so a reschedule isn't possible. 100% chance it will be played this weekend but possibly in a different location.

honestly, the closer to USCe the better. the bitching that will ensue because LSU gets an "extra" home game will be absurd.

I'll hold off on reacting until Charles gets off his conference call with Miles and Spurrier.

hard to imagine everything would be good to go by Saturday.

No way we travel there, but I am no expert. Just seems like a safety to risk to our players and South Carolina.

Here is the radar for Columbia. Going to get more rain this afternoon with a wind from the NNE.

Our flights leave on Wednesday so I called the athletic department. They have not heard anything about changing venues from the SEC and the SEC office has no deadline for them to change venue. Hopefully they make a decision early enough that all the traveling fans can change flights and hotels but doubtful since they haven't heard a peep on any of this yet
