Not sure what you are trying to say but I am sure that USCe wanted this game to be as late as possible so they could make as much $$ possible.

Oh right, because other scheduling conflicts fall on him but scheduling wins have nothing to do with him.

Auburn v. Tenn has to be a ratings nightmare for CBS! Two bottom dwellers.

No way. I'm sure they plan on getting players to BR on Friday and would rather the earlier game where LSU has shown a bit of struggle. LSU wants to play later. That is no secret.

LSU just definitely pulled out there cock and mushroom stamped USC and TV on this one. two thumbs up for Joe Alleva

For all the hate he gets, this was a solid negotiation where we came out on top.

Meh....if Alleva had any true stones, he would have said the stadium wouldn't be ready till 7:00!

Sounds like USC was on our side and CBS/SEC were the bad guys

Well, Georgia v Tenn is no better. Two teams on their way down.

Well I read on the Carolina board that Jacksonville offered their stadium, but one of the two schools declined. I'm sure that was LSU.

exactly. but CBS had the exclusivity to that time slot. putting LSU/USC directly up against it cuts into their viewership especially when it is a perceived who-cares-a-thon. Putting the game at night, cuts into their viewership for timeslots they already dominate.

This was my best case scenario. Now I can go to the after party in New York sleep in, grab my flight and make it to Atlanta in time to watch from my home. Wish I could have seen them in person but completely understand why the venue had to move.
