What would be my best parking option if I'm trying to hightail it to New Orleans at end of game?

Not sure about routes, but usually the farther you park, the faster you get out if it's a close game.

Stay the whole game. That way when 80,000 leave at halftime you won't wait in traffic as much.

Good luck. Its been years since LSU gameday traffic and quick were used in the same sentence.

Park on the outskirts and RUN when the game is over. The faster you get ahead of everyone else, the better.

If you park on the Northside its no problem getting out. It is a little bit of a walk getting in but will save atleast an hour getting out.

Park the other side of University High (or behind the Law School if there is still room). Consider leaving a few minutes early if the game is out of hand, but that's up to you. Fast walk to the car after the game. Right turn on Dalyrymple into the contraflow. Take I-10 West from Dalyrymple, stay in the right hand lane, take the I-110 split. The first exit (Government?) will be barricaded. Take the second exit (North St?), the first one without barricades. Take two lefts to get headed back the other way and merge onto I-10 East. At the I-10/I-12 split stay to your right to remain on I-10 and make your escape to New Orleans.

(Edited so our visitor doesn't wind up in Hammond or points east.)

Agree with the I10 uturn option by Alpha Micro. Disagree with taking I12 after.

Park on the north side of campus. (There are nice gentlemen in the neighborhood that will let you park in their driveway/yard for a small fee.) Head north on Highland, right on Louise Street and right on Braddock Street to the I-10 onramp east

Best bet is to stay the whole game, find some beer, watch Bama/Ole Miss 1st half and you'll be good to go
