Just walked in the house ourselves; whew, long day at the Box. Sr Day was great for the families and the players. CPM did the right thing by starting Katz and Rhymes and then taking them out to a roaring standing ovation on TV.
Old Blue behind the plate took 2 foul balls for his team and "never to be seen again"--don't wish that on anybody, not even the blind ones. The guys whacked on Wahl and it was a beautiful thing to watch. Feel good about our back ups hitting a quality pitcher. Would have been nice to win, but we got the series and move on. Personally, I would have never let Jaco on the field today-risky move even with brace on.

I don't think that would have happened if Mainieri was still at the game. I put that entirely on Javi.

I can't blame you. Who would have thought our second team (Stevenson being the only starter and he hits about .180) would hammer an All American starter and we'd be ahead 9-5 in the 7th? Our pitching lost this one for sure.
