We cannot talk shite about anybody anymore. The golden age is over. Any win is a good win now, regardless of the competition. LSU is a poorly run team, and after the last few years, our offensive talent level will drop off big time, which means no more beating people on talent alone despite the shitty play calling. fricking shame.

So if we beat Clemson last night, the golden age would still be on.

Agreed.

Last year was the exception and we were taken there by an exceptional player.

2-3 lost team here and out

I don't expect anything less than 10 wins next year.

Of course that's not good enough for most, but this perceived dropoff of Auburn proportions is asinine.

I hate pessimists. Our recruiting has been, and continues to be exemplary. This is nothing that a few tweaks (aka a new OC and a new O-Line coach) can't fix. I actually thought Mett did well and that missed passed on 2nd down was not his fault, He was forced to go high due to the poor offensive line play to contain the outside defensive end who Mett had to throw over or the ball would have been batted down.

Well, that makes 10 "good wins" this year. Sweet!

I finally agree with you. This season made me realize Tyrann Mathieu saved Les miles arse. 1 season in the Miles era, lsu has played dominant football. Other seasons, it's a circus every game.

Why would you expect no less than 10 wins? Have you seen the schedule? Wait for the mass exodus of juniors as well. If Les can get the D to stay, I could see 10 wins, but I expect most to leave.

Not saying we're gonna drop to bottom of the barrel status, just that 8-9 wins a year will become the norm, give or take a few year to year. The level of competition in the SEC just keeps getting better, and LSU is simply not keeping up. Just treading water from here on out. All of the people who remember the 90's will be content enough with this type of consistency, so there really won't be much pressure on Miles or the administration.

Lemme give you a few names coming back on offense

Z Mettenberger
J Hill
A Blue
K Hilliard
K Boone
J Wright
J Landry
O Beckham
V Alexander
T Turner

I'm pretty sure the talent level stays on par to what it has been

How is our offensive talent dropping off when we are going to have the best oline in the country next year and one of the best RBs

I agree with everything you said except for the part about that 2nd-and-2 pass not being Mett's fault. It was a simple throw.

I cannot see how this reputation we have as an offense will improve as top notch offensive recruits will avoid us like the plague. We'll get our share of guys, but these debacles happening regularly are not going to help long term.

It will be interesting to see when the administration stops supporting Miles for ok season. Miles has done well but LSU needs a change but that won't happen for a while b/c they just gave him an extentsion.
