People should ask themselves should LSU ever travel to an on campus site for a weekend OOC series in baseball....answer is no because we lose too much money.

I'm so sick of this response. It's ridiculous. "OMG. The program will shut down if we have to go on the road!!!! We can't afford it!!!!! OMG"

Really? If we can't afford it, nobody can. Oh wait...

FWIW, I heard it's almost 99% sure we are going back to Houston in 2017.

It's a good thing the SEC office doesn't have to approve the non-conference schedule in baseball like they now have to do in basketball. This garbage would be rejected the second it was reviewed. This is not the schedule of a top 5 program.

I am surprised we only have 2 Th-Fr-Sa series, including the one before the SECT.

Hopefully Kramer and the young bats can get some confidence with that pre-conference schedule.

That can still change. SEC Network hasn't had its say yet.

The two dates you see are for Easter and because the weekend before the SECT is always Th/Fr/Sa

To be honest, the first 4-5 years we were in the new park the AD said we had to play as many home games as possible. I think they've eased up on that somewhat.

Lol. Okay.

We play more home games than any other team in college baseball. It would be worth it to play some great teams on the west coast if it meant our team was playing top level talent and getting them ready for the SEC and the post season.

The first pitcher we see over 90 mph may not be till late March.

To the dodgers classic....sure we would make some money on that not as much as a home series but it wouldn't be a total loss like an on campus site weekend series.

Do you think LSU baseball is short of cash or something? Is 32 home games not enough?

Cincinnati goes 4-22 on the road this season. Fordham was 5-20 on the road. Ball State barely went .500 in the MAC. Sacramento State is very meh, could have picked 10 schools from California I'd rather us play.

I know CPM likes an easy schedule but this shite is ridiculous. Maybe our players might play better in Omaha if they played some decent OOC competition on the road every once in a while.

Nah.

All that matters is getting to 50 wins and getting another COTY.
