Coledrank is leading his team (Wareham Gatemen) in BA @ .387 with 5 2bs and 10 sbs in 19 games this season. I hope he stays this hot for the Tigers next spring.

Why do our guys always excel in summer league?

It's been a thing for awhile now, is it just coaching philosophy?

This shite very rarely comes over to the regular season.

Mabe because in summer ball they are not facing SEC quality type pitching? Pick any SEC Friday nite starter, for many, the Sat. starter, and I doubt those types of pitchers are pitching against our hitters.

They might actually be improving like Stevenson and Robertson did. Both came back and had greatly improved offensive years.

Common bud, show stats or list some names. LSU has led the SEC in hitting the last two years...this statement was beyond out from left field.

The Cape Cod League generally has the better players in college baseball and they are also using wooden bats. I can assure you the level of competition is every bit as good as it is in the SEC

Freeman, Bryce Jordan, and Josh Smith are probably having the best summers. Trey Dawson, Bryce Adams, and Jake Slaughter are probably in the next tier. Cody Ducote was crushing in the Southern Cal league, but has not hit as well since moving to the Northwoods league. Pap is doing pretty well too and is hitting leadoff a lot.

Deichmann has struggled a little. Wofford has struggled. Beau Jordan has had a few good games. Romero's sample size is too small to evaluate. Breaux's is similar, wondering why they didn't send Breaux to a league where he could get more at bats.

agree.

Word from a player up in cape cod is that Greg Deichmann is coming home with some type of injury.

Beau is 12-53 for a .232 avg with just 1 walk and Breaux is 10-36 for .263 avg. with 8 walks for an OBP of .391. I'm actually encouraged by this, Breaux started the summer off roug and then started to pick it up.
