This board wouldn't be able to contain excitement if he stayed.

I like Fournette, but I don't want him to stay. He was NFL ready last year. He's a RB. They only have a 4-6 year prime. Why stay another year?

Of course he isn't going to stay. That is crazy. No point in even talking about it. It would make no sense.

As a fan, I wouldn't want him to stay either. A QB, yeah, I'll take a 4th year. But a RB, especially one like LF7, go make your money baw. And thanks for the memories.

This.

Too good of a kid for me to wish he stays another year. Go get paid young man and support your family. You deserve all of it.

We have known about this kid since he was in 7th grade and now all the sudden he's about to begin his final year at LSU. Damn time has flown by.

If he doesn't win the Heisman this year, the motivation could be there to come back for his SR season. Barring injury, he would also have a chance to be the all time leader in rushing and TDs in the SEC.

In reality, as a RB there is a good chance that he never gets a 3rd contract in the league. He'll get a big rookie contract that hopefully can be parlayed into his biggest contract when he is eligible for an extension free agency after 4 years. Staying one more year in college shouldn't affect that. There is a long list of rich former NFL running backs all over the country. The list of players that can say they won a Heisman or that they are the greatest RB in the history of the best conference in America isn't even a list. It's Herschel Walker and he's a living legend. Just saying that there are other reasons to return.

Another year of being a RB in the SEC would dramatically reduce his value to the NFL.

It really has. Seems like just yesterday his YouTube clips from St. Augs were being put out. Damn I hope we at least make the playoffs or the SECCG to send him out.

Be careful what you wish for, if LF stays it is probably because of a serious injury and I don't think anyone wants that to occur.

I doubt it. He has pretty much been injury free his entire career. Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore have both has serious knee injuries and are headed into their 10th and 12th NFL seasons respectively.

He would be dumb to stay, especially as a RB. His stock could go nowhere but down.

Let's just get it out of the way, he isn't staying.

The 20k of free stuff he gets a year isn't equal to the 4-5 million a year contract he'll get in the pros as a first round draft pick.
