Without knowing more details, I'm much more inclined to call him a tPOS over the drugs than this one. I don't see anywhere that says it was forcible. The "child molestation" part is what sounds the worst, but I'm pretty sure that is likely just a sexual act with someone that young.

I know her being 14 makes it sound bad, but I knew a few seniors in high school that were hooking up with 14-15 year old freshmen. All it takes is one pissed off parent to ruin a guy's life.

ETA Georgia law:
quote:

(a) A person commits the offense of child molestation when he or she does any immoral or indecent act to or in the presence of or with any child under the age of 16 years with the intent to arouse or satisfy the sexual desires of either the child or the person.

One of my good friends dated a senior when we were freshman. I know its the law but IMO situations like this are completely overblown to make it loom like an adult who is older than a high school student raped a child which isn't what happened at all. A senior hooked up with a freshman which seems normal.in my book. But its the law so sucks

Yeah, this incident sounds very similar to the Jeremy Hill thing. Anything else came out about the previous drug charge with this guy?

Thats a big leap you're making there. 14 yr old girl=high school, 18 yr old guy= high school

If this is correct, its basically a senior screwing a freshman......this crap is just getting rediculous.

If he was out of high school, then it's not the same obviously.

Either way, if guilty, he'll probably end up a sex offender.

True. And I think that's a damn shame.

If you're 18 and she's 14 and you're both in high school, either you are very old for you're grade or she is very young for hers. Either way, you know the law, so why even try. What 14 y/o is worth getting arrested over?

This is all true. But that's why you gotta watch who you're screwin. When I was a Senior I had a few sophomores which was still illegal. In MS I was always told 2 years difference. I was 18 they were 15. Which I think is statutory rape anyway bc I was considered an adult. I don't know, but I was definitely sure to check a girls parents out before. And I never messed with crazy bitches that would as soon as they got mad dog you for everything and be maniacal. I was lucky I guess. This guy obviously has some judgement issues. Hopes he gets his life together and he will most likely be knocking on your door when he moves into your neighborhood next year.

Dude. I was the 14 year old freshman and 17 year old senior but there were a lot of 18 year old seniors.

In the mind of a high school senior? The one that's putting out.

A senior dating a freshman. It happened all the time I was in high school, my bad. The only way to cut down on that is make high school 10-12 grade like they do in Japan and other countries.

I turned 18 in Feb of my senior year. My girlfriend was a sophomore (15) who I was also dating my Junior year. I am not a rapist by any means but it seems that her mom STILL TODAY could call the police on me...I am just trying to get you to understand, many times this shite is blown way way out of proportion.

If you are dumb enough to try and lie and say you would not have kissed a sophomore when you were a senior, go right ahead. We ALL did that as young men!

I'm not saying this guy is innocent, it may truly be rape and molestation.....remember the guy who serve 6 yrs for "rape" and was an all American type lb'er with a scholly......when the girl was old enough to think for herself, she recanted the story!

As a parent, I too would probably over-react even if it were consensual.

not necessarily. the two crimes are completely unrelated whatsoever. i'm not saying i believe his parents about the first incident, but him getting charged with statutory rape doesn't mean he's more likely to be a drug dealer. honestly, the new charge sounds very similar to the jeremy hill situation. nothing in there says it was forceable rape. sounds like another situation of a senior having sexual contact with a freshman, the dad finding out, getting pissed, and pressing charges. the first incident, however, is much more damning of his character in my opinion.
