No Fan Day 2017 due to facility construction/outdoor weather concerns. Will be moved permanently to the spring to incorporate the football Spring Game and other sports.

I thought they would do it with the unveiling of Mike VII. Sucks for the kids. I don't feel bad for the autograph brokers. They can suck it.

Iv'e taken mine in the past (age 5 and 10)
They don't think its fun to wait in line and get a stupid autograph either. I think alot of grown men use their kids as an excuse cause they want to go. One jumper in a parking lot for 100 kids doesn't cut it either.
It not an overwhelmingly kid friendly event. Let's be real

I get it (kinda) that you, and many others, WANTED to share this day with family, etc. But, good Lawd...to act all butt-hurt and "LSU DOESN'T LOVE ME!" is a bit unseemly.

Some people like to shake hands with the players, wish them a good season, and have a keepsake for that year's players. It's the only chance you really get to meet all of the players. Kids can have a picture with their favorite players. It could be a really nice event for the fans.

And, when the event is cancelled, there is no reason to get butt-hurt about it and claim 'LSU is a big meanie'

A fun event just got cancelled. That is all. I don't have anything against those who enjoy it. I just don't whine when it isn't going to happen.
