Take the under at 51. This game has low scoring written all over it. Can't see MSU scoring more than 10-17 points.

That's what the number one pick in the draft being cleared to play gets you.

Moving about as much as I expected it to. It'll probably land somewhere close to -8/-8.5 come game time.

Tigers cover, under 51.

34-17 doesn't sound unreachable.
That will give you the over.

For a non-degenerat how much $ does it take for the line to move .5? I am assuming $ bet is what moves the line.

I'm def taking the under. Feel like our D will shut them down nicely and we aint scoring 51 by ourselves.

For us non-gamblers, what does this mean?

I assume the bookie is taking a piece from both sides so the line should be set to maximize the number of folks will to wager.

Does the house have risk here with a bad line? Or is it simply a matter of not finding enough Miss State bettors to pair against LSU betters?

the opening line is the odds makers prediction on a realistic point spread. All the movement from there is based on the books attempting to keep the public's money even on both sides so that they are guaranteed a profit.
