I imagine the miserable CWS games helped expedite this decision

Power hitters will like it,
Pitchers will not.

UCLA head coach is probably pissed as frick bc he knows his team has no fricking shot anymore.

I hate that fricking team, and I hate the way they play baseball.

Wayne Graham has a potty mouth and he's not going to take this dead-ball BS anymore!

quote:

“The fans love a balance in the game,” Graham said right after another historically low-scoring College World Series. “They don’t need the 77 home runs or whatever that (Barry) Bonds hit, but they need the excitement. There’s something about the superhero and the home run. I noticed some people saying, ‘Well, this is the real game.’ No, that’s not the real game. That’s the dead ball-era game. That’s not the game that popularized baseball. That’s not the real game—that’s poo-poo. The real game has balance.”

It will flatten a few curveballs out as well.

I've been trying to decide which baseball thread to bump. This is even better.

They might as well start getting used to them if they ever want to play baseball professionally.
