Five teams that could use Braxton Miller or Everett Golson

"Why Miller: Miller knows what it’s like to play with diverse offensive talent and this team has it even if it wasn’t totally realized. Moreover, the defense is one of the best in the country. This is a chance for Miller not only to play in the SEC, but also play for a contender in the SEC West and possibly a spot in the College Football Playoff. A consistent quarterback is the Tigers’ only missing piece."

"Why Golson: There was a story that Golson had already been in touch with LSU about a possible transfer, though Golson refuted the story on Twitter. However, the South Carolina native is familiar with the SEC and might be eager to get back to his roots. He’s a passing quarterback, which would allow star running back Leonard Fornette to get his touches without having to share with his QB. The only issue with Golson might be his lack of success against Alabama."

Do not want Golson.

Just what we need, another guy who got benched on his own team.

Just let Harris be the guy. Thanks.

He was the only bright spot for ND in that game.

Crazy talk.

Golson is a legitimate QB who can make plays downfield. He is experienced enough to understand defensive fronts and how to execute the offense.

Let Golson come in and set the bar for Harris to beat out. The worst thing for Harris is to have the bar for him playing simply be beating out Jennings. That really gets us nowhere.

And, if Harris by chance isn't ready for game 1, you can still get things done with Golson.

Golson threw 14 INT's this past season.

Jarrett Lee only threw 2 more in 2008 as a first year starter against better defenses.

Let that sink in for a second.

Les said he heard you.

Frankly all I care about is that someone brings consistent play to this offense. If LSU's staff kills it on national signing day, making the playoffs will become that much more realistic with consistent play from our QB.

ok

He also accounted for 37 TDs (29 passing). That's 15 more TDs than Mettenberger had his senior year. Let that sink in for a second. He passed for 300+ more yards as well...and rushed for 300+ more.

The truth is that he's asked to do a lot more in the ND offense than he would be here. We need a QB who can run our offense and make plays downfield when needed. We don't have that today. Sure, Harris will eventually be that guy. But, to pretend like that it's an automatic that he will be that guy in '15 is foolish.

But again, let him come in and set the bar. If Harris beats him out, that's great...and you have an experienced/talented guy to play behind him.

It's crazy to say we wouldn't want him in the program.

If all LSU needs is a QB, its worth discussing 24/7 regarding who will lead LSU to its next title. Is it Patterson, Harris, Miller, Golson or some one we most least expect?

He was also considered a d#mn Heisman candidate early on because of this.

He did have 14 ints in 427 attempts. Jennings had 7 ints in 227 attempts. In those 427 attempts, he completed 256 passes for 3,445 yards and 29 tds. Jennings completed just 111 for 1,611 and 11 tds. Take into account that Golson didn't play much in the last 2 games. The production far outweighs the risk.

Golson is the guy to get if we do go after a transfer. At worst he is great competition for Harris. At best he is a very mobile and accurate passer with a cannon arm that can utilize Cam's system, and our abundance of weapons, to the fullest.

Moron

Lee threw 16 ints in 269 attempts. Golson threw 14 in 427 attempts

For reference, Russell Wilson (his last year before leaving NCst) threw 14 ints in 526 attempts. His year with Wisconsin, he threw 4 in 309 attempts. His ypa went from 6.8 to 10.3, his passing TDs went from 28 to 33, and his completion percentage went from 58.6% to 72.8%. He wasn't even committed to Wisconsin until June 27th of that year which makes it all the more incredible.

This is what I see Golson has a big shot of doing at LSU. Comes from a pass heavy system and will go to a run heavy system that requires just an accurate enough passer to be successful. Has a cannon arm and can make all the throws. Can read a defense and has great leadership. Golson coming here might do wonders for Harris in maturing on and off the field.

We are loaded with pass catching weapons, we have a loaded backfield, and we bring back 3/5 of our OL. All we need is a passer.

I think Golson might be the easiest for LSU to land.
