I really hoped that one of Ego or Freak would return. The young guys did not fill in very well this year.

I think they are both overrated. If they want to go let them.

Why is LSU seemingly the only school having this number of underclassman leaving?
Players leaving that don't dominate in college, yet they believe they will do it at next level.
It's a problem for us
My concern is LSU football, I don't really care about the NFL.

Maybe they dont wanna stick around to lose 3 games

Indeed
We have been so close to dominating and putting Saban on the losing side

This thread is full of so much butthurt. Some of you act like the players owe LSU.

Yep. People also act like just because a player didn't play well this season (Freak), then he definitely should come back.

News flash, it's not about how well you play. It's about where you get drafted.

I also loathe these, "____ player owes LSU another year." No, they don't owe us shite.

They do.
Most former players woudl even acknowledge it.
shite like free tutors, degrees, best of health care good food am shelter.
You're right though, they owe nothing to their alma mater.

Do they get to keep all that when they leave early?

Yeah, who needs potential 1st/2nd round talent on the team. Let them leave, who needs em..

you cant judge anyone's decision without knowing their story. Many of them are presented with the opportunity to provide for their families. I can't fault a man for wanting to do that.

No Jeremy Hill?

I would be shocked and overjoyed if he stayed.

Him and either Jarvis or OB stay we are looking good for next year.

I would think that some leaving early should give them pause. Sam Montgomery being one of those. Come back and play for something, graduate so that you have something to fall back on if it doesn't work out, enjoy being in college because the real world kinda sucks. All of that.

If LSU were to lose five underclassmen, that would mark 15 exiting the Tigers program early over the last two years, a mass exodus by any standard

We heard you in the OP, you can stop repeating it. We WANT kids looking at LSU to know that it is a stepping stone to the NFL. I swear some "fans" will do anything to put things in an unfavorable light. This article was written by a Gump, and it reads like it...we don't need our "fans" parroting this crap.

Exactly. Like LSU just has backups ready to step right in and dominate next season.

Whether Johnson and Ferguson performed up to expectations in 2013, their experience would be sorely missed next season.

B. S. I hope you are kidding about J. Hill being the best. There are at least 2 backs on LSU's Team that run harder than he does. The guy has all the tools but only uses half of them.
