Apparently DALSU is supposed to drop a name after the game tonight, a coordinator that no one has either never heard of or haven't considered (or both), and this, he claims, will prove he's on the up and up.

I'm not on either side, just a reminder. At 10:00 tonight, we'll have a clear picture that isn't built on rumors........I'm hoping.

Then, by that logic "no intentions" isn't as helpful as his saying "Wow, you should see what LSU is offering me, mighty, mighty tempting, I tell ya."

Well, the Fishers also said they wouldnt ever leave each other. Now they are divorcing.

So there is a history of "not leaving" being said

I'm only speculating and it's really tough to read stuff into these statements. However, Fisher's comments make no sense if either a) he were using the LSU overtures to get a raise; or b) LSU made an offer and FSU countered. The public statements suggest FSU is totally in the dark and the president asked Fisher what is going on. The most likely interpretations are that a) LSU never approached Fisher; b) LSU approached Fisher and Fisher turned them down w/o even mentioning to FSU; or c) Fisher is a done deal except for a few incidentals and is not prepared to go public yet, hence the "no intention" and "at this time" qualifiers. It could also be d) the statement is old, Fisher has since approached FSU and FSU countered. However, the statement by itself really means nothing.

All announcements are irrelevant during such times. They have to play the PR game.

What I read last night, and not just from DA, was that word got out too soon, and there are rules for anyone still holding another job, so everything is getting hushed up until after the game, where Les is officially not the head coach.

Again, passing that along.

if this is true, which i don't think it is, then fisher is misleading at least one person. the people i know who know him say that he has at least 2 reasons for leaving fsu. one being the candi mess and the other being committment/resources. some people in the fsu fb org make 30% less than the equivalent at lsu and jimbo is well aware of this. some of the people on his staff are friends and he wants to bring them with him to lsu so they can get a raise too. he was ready to bolt last year if mich had pursued miles had they not gotten harbaugh.

Everyone wants be the first to leak the inside info. You ask for it, you got it.

Same shite has happened to Texas with Saban.

You tell him to stop posting, but you're the ONE poster in every thread claiming Les is back next year, which is the most asinine opinion I've seen on this board (saying a lot...)

@JimmyDetail: Be careful who and what you believe. There are a lot of people with "info" that is anything but solid information.

Jimmy works for Nola.com. Sounds like he is basically syaing don't believe everything you read on the internet.

That's what I'm thinking. He doesn't have much incentive to do this, so I'm skeptical. Of course, he could be trying to build goodwill for the future with them, just seems unlikely.

Great news. Herman will be much better for LSU. Good for Jimbo to finesse the raise.
