Taking my first road trip to Auburn with friends this weekend and was hoping for the rant's tips on how to maximize the experience and have a great time. All of us are in our late 20's if that helps at all.

Any must see attractions, how are the alcohol laws on campus, restaurant/bar recommendations, where to park/stay away from?

Thanks in advance.

Athens has like 30 better bars. Sky Bar is just a bigger, more packed Bogies. And it's filled with Auburn douche bags.

If they beat us, make sure to dodge the food they'll throw at you on the walk back to your vehicle. Happened to me in 2010.

en route (or on the return)...

Alabama's State Capitol is a good stop. Actually the old State House may be a better stop.

Tuskegee's campus is a decent stop, as well as the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site
Natl Park Service - TANHS

Brother, I hate to break it to you, but Auburn is glorified Trailer Park!

As far as entertainment goes, the best you can hope for is to run across a herd of free-range inbred Auburn fans to watch.....

I hope you just ran into some bad eggs. I went in 2006, 2008, and 2010. I had such a good experiences each time, that I find it hard to hate Auburn. It may be our mutual hatred for Bama that makes things easy to get along. Keep in mind that 2 of the games were losses for LSU, and the trips still rank high on my road trip list. We always had a great, friendly experience before the game tailgating. Then, win or lose, Sky Bar is always a great time.

Just be in the stadium when the eagle flies around...I thought that was pretty cool and we were in the top part of the stadium for Auburn LSU 05 - the 7-3 game - the pass interference that was not called a pass interference when initially it was called a pass interference...ugh!!

They only have liquor in a spirit shop by the Wal Mart. So if you plan on drinking hard stuff, load up before hitting the Bama state line.

Pee on the Cam statue.

Like Mjax said, if you have the time, the college football hall of fame in Atlanta is only a two hour drive and well worth it. As far as in Auburn, there's a good donut shop near JH stadium, so you've got that going for you.
