We don't need messages. We need systematic dismantling. That would be the first step.

This.

Alleva has to go. LSU cannot afford to let him make another big coaching decision. He will do nothing but cost the school more money. After that, let the new AD get rid of Ogeron. Even if he improves marginally this season does anyone really think he is the guy to lead LSU to a championship level program? Isn't that the goal? Isn't that why you fired your HC who consistently won 9 games per year? If good, but not great is the goal, then Les was doing fine. (For reasons that will never be understood) LSU presumably hired Ed Ogeron to make them a championship level program. That's NEVER happening and LSU will have to move on from him sooner or later. If it has to be done eventually, just do it now. Eat the big financial loss and "write it off" (figuratively speaking) as just a poor business decision made by a poor CEO.

There are many multi-mullion dollar business entities that have made such decisions for the overall betterment of their business. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on. The sooner the better in this situation. Whether the academia professionals want to admit it or not, the LSU athletic dept is really nothing more than a quasi-public multi-million dollar business. Run it as such

TU ALUM - is this you Ballard? So you knew O was a revenge mental case when you recommended and hired him?
