Waste of money. You don't hire someone new for a couple months just to throw money down the drain. If you fire JJ you promote from within and even that doesn't make much sense. Finish the season, fire him before the leaves the PMAC and announce it on Feb 5.

Let Coach O have the rest of the season. Couldn't be any worse and would be more entertaining. Let a different LSU staff member coach a different game the rest of the season. Let Shaq coach a game since he cried for JJ.

From a gamblers perspective , renew JJ's contract, pay him more, extend for 10 years , go to large buyouts, whatever it takes to KEEP him. He's money in the bank. If you happen to not be a gambler, and an unfortunate LSU basketball fan, well, it just kinda reminds you of the success of the future college fb hall-of-famer GoodOleLess. In the meantime, cash those tickets before Joe has nerve enough to can this clown.

Blanton was 9 and 46 at Nicholls, and was fired because of a massive academic fraud in which he was implicated.

Currently coaching St. George 3rd grade team so probably available and his team plays more aggressive D than LSU.
