Agree 100%. Then fire Alleva so he won't have anything to do with the replacement...

How he could possibly keep his job after losing by 15 to Alabama is mind boggling

Barring a miracle type performance, no. We need to get serious about basketball. But just can't stand JJ any longer. NO MAS!

I have thought about why jones hasn't been fired. Honestly the season can't get any worse than it is! I am not going to put the blame all on Alleva thus far. We all know what role politics played in the Miles debacle, I think the same thing is happening on a smaller scale.
I would think most of you would agree there was ONE very large donor who was in favor of hiring jones. If any of you don't think Shaq isn't important to LSU athleteic's / you are crazy. If he says let the man coach the year out at least, I have to thinks Shaq's checkbook carries that that much clout. IMO

FYI- I would have fired him last week

In all seriousness, what would a change right now help? Do we think Livingston will magically make these guys better? He isn't a long term solution because he has the same resume' as the guy you are firing: LSU alum with not much coaching success at this point. Who on this staff would actually be back next year when a new coach is hired? I like Livingston but it's not his time yet to be the head guy at LSU. He needs to go prove himself at a small school and maybe later he could be the guy

What would change is this

We would see some indication we might get serious about basketball and have some hope for the future. Might also take a little pressure off the team.

Until he is fired, I would not put it past LSU to give Johnnie another year-which gives you no hope and makes these games even harder to watch

Generally I would agree, but it may give Alleva a reason not to actively search for a coach if he has an interim coach to just bump up at the end of the season.

It's truly a hopeless feeling when the guy making the new hire is equally inept as the guy he's replacing
