Started this on the Score Board earlier...

After yesterday, I am struggling now. I originally predicted this team to lose 2-3. Now I'm thinking 5-6 is in order.

Let's go through the schedule and see which games we will actually have a chance at winning. There won't be many.

Jacksonville State - W - but barely. Aranda's soft zone defense will be eaten up by this team. Their QB, when given all day to throw, is much more accurate that Wisconsin's QB. Their WRs don't drop many passes either. They will be wide open as our D line doesn't get any pressure at all (nor does it appear we are able to rush more than 4). I think we can pull it off, but we will struggle for 3+ quarters. LSU wins by 7

Mississippi St - W - but barely. LSU has struggled with MSU in recent years, barely beating them when we have. This year won't be different. Last year it took a missed FG for us to win. Will be similar this year. LSU by 3.

AT AUBURN - I'm torn here. If this one was at home I say we take it, but even our best teams under Miles struggle at Auburn. Not to mention Auburn gave a really good team, Clemson, all it could handle yesterday. Toss Up here.

Missouri - W - Should be able to beat them here at home. I say this is one game where we win by more than one score.

At FLORIDA - L - Florida will improve during the course of the year. We won't. They want revenge from last year and will get it.

Southern Miss - W - but barely. USM, like Jackson State, will give LSU fits. Plus, they believe they can win games after coming back from 25 down to beat KY. LSU by 4.

Ole Miss - L - This will be like last year. Ole Miss takes an early lead and just toys with LSU.

Bama - L - LOL. This is the game that ends the season and LSU officially gives up (Sounds familiar? Of course it does!)

AT Arky - L - We will watch Arky do what they've done to us the previous two years. They will romp, stomp and burn over this softer, weaker team.

USA - W - but barely. This is a team that beat MSU at MSU. We will struggle to beat MSU and we will struggle to beat USA. LSU by 5

AT aTm - L - This is the year aTm finally beats LSU. At home, short week, with aTm having a solid bowl on the line for a win. LSU, already having given up, will lay down and die to end the year.

So, I see five wins at this point, maybe 6 with Auburn.

Does that get us in a bowl? Do we accept the invite? Or do we pull a Johnny Jones and just bow out so our best player(s) don't get hurt before the draft?

The silver lining? This is Miles' last season.

We also "owned" MSU and lost to them a couple years ago. Our time will come.

This is the year.

The Chief will be able to stop this predictable offense this time.

I think "BYE" could stop the toss dive too.

Not so sure about that one.

I hate it too.

Oh well, fantasy football starts Thursday! I like LSU, but I like money more.

i could see us finishing anywhere from 5-7 to 7-5. I think anything else is a bit silly at this point. We win the rest of the ooc games, beat state, beat mizzou. Aburn is probably a loss now but i guess would could still win. UF looked bad so who knows, and of course we own a&m. I don't think we can sweep all those though because Les Miles.

Arky will improve by the time we play them and its going to be bad.

We will win at least 3 of the ones you say are losses. Did you watch Florida last night? They sucked! Auburn has gotten worse and couldn't do shite. While having 5 different players take snaps. We will beat Arkansas. They ain't that good.

Solid. When I was predicting in my thread I didn't even realize we had Southern Miss and USA. I think this is a 5 win team no bowl game no nothing. But like you said at least it is a surety that Miles is gone. Need to start petitioning Herman behind the scenes now. Hopefully no leaks to the media and Ross Dellenger keeps his fricking mouth shut.

Yes. We barely beat them at home last year. They will beat us in the Swamp.

Auburn hung with a team that would beat LSU by 30+ points. LSU plays in that same venue. LSU never plays well there. AU could win easily.

We say that every year. Then we play them. Then they push our soft team up and down the field at will.

10-2 likely.

I mean Stanford lost to Northwestern last season to begin the year and came back as one of the hottest teams to end the season. There's so much overreaction on here it's sickening

His is a 4 loss team, with the quality of opponents left and the current coaching.

A good coach could take this team to a 1 loss season...maybe 2 loss with bad luck.

A great coach has us undefeated or 1 loss.

I would almost agree with you, but it's not a reaction to just one game. It is the same mistakes/ coaching that it has been the past few years.

Unlike most of you I don't see the game yesterday as a sign of things to come. That first half was a fluke. Started out bad and offense didn't have the ball long enough. We finally got into a rhythm in 2nd half. And when we did coaching couldn't get plays in in time so we call timeouts and kill our rhythm. Then we have to punt. Or what you might call a punt. Not sure what that was.

I think we rebound and somehow find an o line.

That said, play calling has got to change. Why couldn't we run 5 yard out routes toward the side line or roll out QB out with a run pass option? Give our QB some easy passes. Just like Wisconsin gave their QB. Worst case he runs out of bounds for a couple yards. Harris needs to learn from that mistake. He better learn fast.

Or I think LSU is more talented than 10 of the next 11 opponents they will face and will make adjustments.

People sound like Ohio State fans after the VT game in 2014 and look how that worked out for them
