Watching YouTube highlights doesn't count as "watching film."

He does need help from other receivers and tight ends going forward. The tight ends caught zero passes. Outside of Landry and Beckham Jr., the LSU receivers caught two passes for 21 yards.

Landry is also LSU’s only receiver who can catch the ball in heavy traffic. Beckham Jr. dropped a couple of passes, as did other receivers, that were catchable. The receivers also need to be more consistent in creating space for Mettenberger to deliver the football.

What most fans have been calling for.

I don't get why you're laughing. The game is film, and he is studying it. If this was done by an ESPN "analyst", you'd be all over it.

This play is insane. No idea how he saw Dural in time from this first pic to the 2nd pic.

quote:

Despite nobody being open, Mettenberger fires a ball into heavy traffic off his back foot while getting smoked by Pearson. The ball looks as if it will be picked off easily by the defensive end or batted down.

quote:

But the ball placement from Mettenberger is so perfect; it was only be thrown where receiver Travin Dural can catch it. LSU had no open receivers, but Mettenberger, while getting crushed, trusted his arm strength and placed the football in between two defenders to Dural for the first down.

I am trying to figure out what the differance is. Is so called film any more enlightening than video or is it all just video now. Anyway your comment was idiotic.

Those pictures are amazing. Also shows the TCU DB's constantly had their hands on our receivers and/or full of their jerseys. Refs really let a lot of holding on the line and in the defensive backfield go uncalled.

And this is all without a tight end threat and without our best running back, not to mention against a good defense.

Dickson will be a passing threat when he is back in and I think we'll also see D Smith develop as a red zone target as the year progresses. kid has sick hands

Youtube highlights are much different than coaches film. "Film study" consists of watching "all-22" film and not just the camera angles from the broadcasts.

The throw to Dural was pure frickin luck. I credit Dural more on that catch than Mett

That throw was perhaps the one bad decision Mett made all night and it just worked out. there were three defenders in that lane that could have tipped or picked that ball off plus he was throwing off his back foot under duress. only because it was a laser beam did it work out
