Culp is a good kicker and Gonsaulin was ridiculously accurate at Catholic high; he nailed a couple of 50+ yarders.

And yet, we have no kickers. We have to go recruit some because me yaw yaw was left twit no players, chere.

If you think we're already imploding, just wait. There is only so much room under the bus. Getting crowded under there.

So why are they suddenly not able to make kicks? Im not justifying Os comments, but nothing done so far this year proves to me that these two guys are good enough to rely on.

Gonsulin is 2 for 5 with his only made kicks less than 30 yards. That isn't just bad it's terrible.

I'm not sure how anyone can defend Gonsolin. He misses BADLY. At least he's a walk on.

Culp is a 2nd year scholarship guy and apparently cant beat out Gonsolin in practice. I'll say this much, at least Culp looked accurate in his couple attempts. He just was short on a 47 yarder earlier this year.

If Orgeron is hanging his kicker out to dry publicly, I can't imagine how bad he treats those guys at practice.

Didn’t Aranda make a comment either last year or this year that there were more kickers than linebackers on the team?

I don't understand why they aren't just practicing field goals the entire practice. That's all they should be doing and there no reason for them to be as unreliable as they are

What else do you think the kickers are doing? Big Cat drill?

Orgeron is close to becoming a public mental case.

If the Curley Hallman era taught me one thing, it was this: when a coach comes in and says it's going to take him 4 years to right the ship, that's a coded admission that he's in over his head.

This is no different.

Nobody cares what you did in high school. That goes for every player on any roster. Kicking on a tee in high school a lot different than kicking in HS.

I completely disagree with O making the comments. But he told the truth

quote:

Another telling sign of the depth problems on the roster. This group has potential to be very good at LSU. But seems like nobody willing to let anything play out.

O has been awful no arguing that. But we are married to this at least for a little while.

I really wish we had a coach who would, at the very least, have the decency to not throw players directly under the bus.

I have a problem with that.

Well we haven't had great kicking for a while.

We are not the only school to not have a special teams coach... but I don't like the model.

Don't they still kick off tees in high school?

No special teams coach equals poor special teams play. We are second to last in the nation in one of the punting statistics (I heard on the radio today) which is crazy for a school like LSU. I’m afraid it’s going to get worse before it gets better.

We don't have a special teams coach! That's what we don't have
