Hey Ranters! I was just curious if you remember who was the fastest player that you ever played in against either in highschool or college. Does anyone recall the name "Nilo Silvan," who played high school football at St. Paul and later played for Tennessee Vols? He was the fastest I've been against.

They were probably on my own high school team. Opponent-wise, there was this Glen Oaks kid that I remember being ridiculously quick. He scrambled out of the pocket once as a QB and made me look foolish in the open field. Also, my team played Eddie Kennison when I was a freshman, but I never got off the sidelines, so that doesn't count.

Hot Carl, Do you remember Duane Preston from Mandeville? He seemed pretty quick as well.

Joe Delaney, I was young and he was a senior. Came over the middle and I came to in the locker room. Apparantly, he scored.

Uncle Stu? Is that some sort of West Monroe insult or something?

You don't know him, ran a 4.35, busted his leg up his Junior year and is now playing D-3 football.

I almost crapped my pants when I opened the thread and saw Nilo Sylvan, because when I read the title, his was the first name to come to mind. Haven't seen his face or name since high school.

Aibo, Yes, Nilo was pretty fast. I remember people starting a huge rumor that he could run the 40 in 4.0 flat. However, the guys were very young back then and didn't really understand how fast that was. He eventually was clocked with a 4.22 forty at the University of Tennessee.
