I saw lines of "fans" leaving the game in the early 4th quarter with the game still undecided. This is when the team needed them most. Granted, I did pay for staying by getting stuck in traffic for an hour, but this is part of being a fan - you have to support the team - especially in close games.

Meh, most people I saw walking out were doing so after the Hill TD and were going to watch from the tunnel. No big deal. The crowd was still just as loud. The game was mostly out of reach by that time.

The student section begins to empty at halftime regardless of the score or opponent.

It's ridiculous that these kids are still give an alotment of tickets to leave early and act like jackasses while inside the stadium.

Give their tickets to true fans that care more about the game than being immature and screaming profanities while intoxicated.

Except for South Carolina having the ball and only needing a FG to win it with less than a minute in the game.

Again meh. They had the ball at the 20 with no TOs and 35 seconds left. Also, most people I saw (and it was hardly "lines of people") were just going to finish it out by the tunnels. They were still in the stadium cheering.

It's funny that you and I were at the exact same game and I didn't see that. And thanks to TD, I always look for it now and was pleasantly surprised it didn't happen.

and the tipped ball landing in our hands on the last play instead of USC's....could have easily been a reverse blue grass.

I'm always amazed at how these self-professed superfans are able to stay completely into the game on the field, while keeping perfect tabs on what the large numbers of the non-superfans, who apparently now occupy Tiger Stadium, are doing or not doing in the stands.

I was tying to watch the game, but the lines of people leaving were blocking my view!

Bitch please.

Like it or not the SS is the soul of Tiger Stadium and create a large part of the loudness mystique.

And this statement would make sense if the SS wasn't basically as full at the end of the game.

The student section is always the first to fill and the last to empty.

"Oh my god, look how empty the SS is against Towson, we should take their seats!"

*ignores how empty the rest of the stands are.*

It's fairly easy. It's akin to the way that I can sustain a conversation with my wife while simultaneously appreciating the beauty of passing women.

In either case, I'm just keeping an eye out for pussies.

Either you were extremely unlucky to be sitting in the section you were in, or I was extremely lucky, as I observed no such phenomenon.
