Hopefully he comes along well enough to take on the Sunday starting role. Kid has tons of potential.

ETA: Scuba, how has Deich looked in RF? I haven't paid much attention to these threads with all the football stuff going on.

Deichmann is coming along OK learning to play RF in the Box. With more PT, he should become a good outfielder.

Can't wait for Breaux to dominate this year

I think Peterson is first in line for that spot right now. But we're so far out who knows.

We should have options. It helps with depth that we've already got out Friday, Saturday, and highest leverage reliever figured out.

I think AD will rotate Sunday starters during the pre-conference weekends to determine who fits the role best by conference play. There are lots of options among the returning pitchers as well as the newcomers. This staff looks very deep but lacks lefties. I hope Bush is able to pitch at the beginning of the season. We need a situational lefty out of the pen, IMO.

We had options when Lange, Godfrey, Norman and Marshall came in, and that didn't work out too well for us.....

And? We're already past the point in the year when Marshall transferred out. So we're beating that one. We've still got Lange and Norman soooooo....

Godfrey needed more innings than we could promise him for his development so he went JUCO. Nothing wrong with that.

Not to attack you but what does this even mean?

He is explaining how only 1 of those pitchers panned out at LSU and really lived up to the hype.

Gotcha, I got lost when he replied to a comment that next years pitching rotation should have options with a list of players who left 2 years ago.

Any chance that Deichman could play centerfield? Love Duplantis but I have some concerns with arm strength on balls fielded at wall.

Hopefully Poche goes back to his so form, he struggled last year. Wasn't as sharp, maybe he was pressing too much for the draft.

Deichmann will remain at a corner IF or OF spot.

If the CF spot isn't locked down by Duplantis or Breaud I would be shocked...just such an important defensive position to give up speed and glove.
