Yes...youth is a b...h. Sure wish I can hear the phrase "senior laden" every once in a while. (not counting gymnastics or softball)

Marquette is going to go like 14-18. This loss will knock you down a line on selection Sunday.

Disagree. They looked better than I expected.

Its not the loss as much as how bad LSU looked. They were completely lost on defense tonight, leading to Marquette's high FG pct. They took a bunch of poor shots. These have been ongoing problems the last few years. No, the season isn't over but it was a really bad performance against a poor team.

Marquette is not nearly as bad as their record indicates. They have some really good players and a good coach. I think this loss is only going to help them. Maybe it will show Ben he has to take charge at the end of games like that.

Have we talked about his buyout yet. We can't have another coach lose three in a row, ever. I'm willing to give him one more shot tomorrow but if he loses or doesn't blow them out then we need to nip it in the bud.

No more waiting for that third loss, look how long it took us to get that magical third loss from Les!

Marquette is a known basketball school. The loss will not look bad when it's all said and done

That is not how it works a-hole. Why do you people continue to post and not know anything about the topic you are blabbing your mouth about? Stfu

Marquette will be a tournament team at the end of the year.

Marquette a tourney team? Wow, you people really don't watch much basketball, do you? Tonight's loss, while only one, is an RPI killer. This will be one of those on the "bad losses" ledger come March.

Games played on November 23rd rarely come into play. If it was OOC mid-late December, then I'd agree.

LSU isn't getting penalized for this loss on Nov 23rd starting 3 freshman and without starters Horsnby and Victor.

Ben and the boys will only get better, if Johnny doesn't screw em up too much.

Why we shootin a 3 down by one is the question but JP knows only jumpers it seems. GEAUX TIGERS!

It absolutely comes in to play if it is a bad loss at the end of the year. It doesn't matter when the game is played. That said, Marquette is not a tournament team. Still, it's not as much a "bad" loss as much as it was a missed chance for a decent win. Road and neutral site wins over power conf teams are huge. LSU only has two shots in the OOC slate to get those. Now one chance is gone. Need a win tomorrow

I disagree 100%.

That's why you have a committee to look at context. I'm sure the computers may penalize the loss, but it's marginal depending on ROS, especially if LSU finishes as a Top 3-4 SEC team.
