Explain How BOS and Boosters Aren't Blameworthy

For this shite show? They call the shots and Alleva reports directly to the BOS. Unless Alleva went rogue and ignored his marching orders, your anger is misplaced.

They are the entire blame. It's easy to blame Alleva though so that's what simple minded people do.

That's basically what Alleva's job is. Obviously, the boosters played an active part. That's typical. ADs have to be able to manage boosters and not implode the program because of their wishes.
You either make the move on this or you don't. If you secure the money from the boosters and decide it's time, you go. That's it. You can't go back. You start the search and you have Plan B and Plan C if necessary. You don't put all of your eggs in one basket...and then pretend like you weren't going to make a move when that falls through.

it's not just alleva, but he get's the brunt of it, since the words came directly from his mouth.

You're saying he violated instructions from his superiors? Alleva can't unilaterally fire Miles.

Well, if Alleva is so easily manipulated, then he still needs to go. You can't replace the boosters. You can replace him, hopefully with someone who is a much stronger negotiator and leader.

You're missing the point. Alleva implements instruction from his supervisors. Blame them if you're pissed.

Alleva gets paid approximately $600k to manage these types of situations.
Listen to the boosters, use their money to enhance the programs.
He failed miserably over the last two weeks.
From my outsider point of view, by lack of leadership.

And the BoS have a lot more on their plate than football, so I imagine some of them are really good at weighing in on other issues vital to the university.

Bingo Stevo. I've been asking the BOS question since yesterday. No way Alleva did this unilaterally. And the media won't touch it.

Yeah, but firing Miles is a HUGE issue. No way is this a side issue for the BOS. This all began with the BOS.

The more I think about the whole situation, I am willing to bet that F. King Alexander played a larger role in keeping Miles.

Alexander most likely wanted to protect the brand and point out the problem of spending millions to bring in Jimbo when the university struggles with funding.

You know, he didn't keep us updated on the rant.

Who was Rabalais' source? Who was deep throat in Alleva Gate?

This is something you think thru before initiating a firing process and determine if it's a showstopper or have answers ready.

How's that?
Fair question, I guess.
For two weeks he let this situation fester, with "no comment, will say something at end of season" (two weeks ago)
If he knew no deal was certain (which obviously it wasn't), he could have deflected further and calmed the flames.... letting the local and national media (and us) work into a frenzy of defend-Miles... when there wasn't even an official stance.
Then he/they were unable to execute their plan, he/they didn't have the balls to carry out a firing and move down the road and find another coach.
And then, that sheepish endorsement last night! That was the worst acting job of support ever!
Just my opinion...

I put a lot of blame on Ronnie Anderson. He is only on the BOS because he is a POS political hack. He leaked dump Les to GG

BoS to blame and needs to clean house with loyal LSU alumni who are competent
