ALABAMA 31 - Lsu 17 - (8:00) -- Perfect Tigers impressive, especially on "O",
behind rushing of Fournette: 193.1 RYpg, 7.7 ypr, 15 TDs. But just 116th in
passing, & allowing 19+ pts to all foes. Conversely, 'Bama has held 5 foes to 9
ppg (13th & 4th in scoring & total "D"). Visitor 7-0 ATS in 'Tide games. Not hr.
Gold Sheet

iii*Lsu 24 - ALABAMA 21—Favor underdog LSU, equipped to give another
60-minute battle, as it did in LY’s 20-13 OT loss in Baton Rouge. Tide’s runoriented
attack won’t erupt vs. staunch Tiger “D” exhibiting no drop-off under
high-energy, 1st-year d.c. Kevin Steele. LSU’s vastly-improved QB Harris (9 TDP,
zero ints.)—who owns the superior WR corps—has been less likely to make a
critical mistake than Bama counterpart Coker (7 picks so far). Bama HC Nick
Saban has failed to cover last 8 in Tuscaloosa!
(14-Alabama 20-LSU 13 (OT)...15-17 29/106 56/183 20/46/0/209 8/26/1/76 1/1 1/0)
(14-Ala -6’ 20-13 (OT) u45’; 13-ALA -12’ 38-17 n55; 12-Ala -8 21-17 u40’...SR: Ala 49-25-5)

LSU over *Alabama by 5
This is LSU’s frst road game in six weeks. Alabama has won the last four meetings.
The stats indicate that ‘Bama is the better defensive team. Opponents are averaging
4.16 yards per play and 2.60 yards per rush. The corresponding numbers for LSU
are 4.81 and 3.25. Nonetheless, we like the Tigers. The game-within-a-game between
Leonard Fournette and Derrick Henry shapes up as a wash. The team with the
superior passing game will likely emerge victorious and that team is LSU. Defying
his detractors, LSU QB Brandon Harris has yet to throw a pick. He’s blessed with a
great receiving corps. LSU’s receivers are averaging 14.64 yards per catch vs. 10.79
for a Crimson Tide team that hasn’t had anyone step up to fll the shoes of Armani
Cooper, the 4th overall pick in last year’s draft. In the off-season, much was made of
the departure of LSU DC John Chavis to Texas A & M. To fll his shoes, Les Miles,
with an eye on this game, plucked Kevin Steele from Nick Saban’s staff. In last year’s
meeting, LSU dominated the second half – all but the fnal minute – only to lose in
overtime. It’s payback time. LSU 26-21.

ALABAMA by 9 over Lsu - This will not only go a long way in deciding the SEC West but also the
Playoff picture as well. Bama has won 4 str covering the L2. LY the Tide won in OT 20-13 (-6’) w/a
315-259 yd edge (-2 FD). LTH #1 Bama won 38-17 (-11, #10 LSU) outg’ing the Tigers 372-284 (+9
FD). L7Y Bama has come in ranked #5 or higher & the L/time LSU came in ranked higher they won
41-34 (-7) in ‘07 (Bama #17, LSU #3). Both are off byes, 2W ago Bama got the come from behind win
vs UT (maybe looking ahead here) but s/the Ole Miss loss the Tide have all’d just 12 ppg & 246 ypg
(high mark 316 yds). LSU 2W ago coasted vs WKU 48-20 (-15’), w/ just a 497-428 yd edge (-3 FD).
Obviously the key here is Bama stopping RB Fournette (1202, 8.0) who’s “low” for the ssn is 158 (7.9)
at SC. Bama is all’g just 79 ypg (2.6) while 3 of LSU’s 6 opp are poor vs the rush. LSU all’s 94 rush
ypg (3.3) while Bama RB Henry (1044, 5.8) has 379 ttl rush yds his L/2 gms (6.3) & has become their
workhorse. Miles is 5-8 as an AD & the L/time LSU was in that role lost 41-7 (+7’) at Auburn in ‘14 (#15
vs #5). Bama is 0-5 as a HF TY incl their outright upset loss vs Ole Miss.

Their opinions dont matter, but mine does

I can't read Phil Steele's because IDGAF but anyone that uses the passing ranking for LSU to make picks has not watched a game all year

Joey Galloway just put Trevor Matich's lame narrative to bed on College Football Live. Earlier in the season Galloway was hard on our passing game too. He has since switched his narrative after watching our games.

tl;dr.....Nobody has any fricking clue what is going to happen

Why does Steele say that the last time LSU came in ranked higher was 07? We were #1 in 2011 and Bama was #2. Maybe I can't understand all those ridiculous abbreviations.
