Expectations of Rivers...just how good is he gonna be?

When his turn at qb, probably in two years, just how good is he gonna be? Dont know much about his progress to this point.

i don't know about 2 yrs from now but i think we will find out something when mett gets hurt and he has to go in. i can see rivers having to go a game or two this year. i just hope he knows the plays and will be able to pass the ball successfully.

Based on the numerous scrimmages I've seen, I don't think he will ever be the guy. Just doesn't have the intangibles required, I hope Mett comes back and one of the two freshmen coming in will will overtake him in 14 .IMO

I think they'll give up on the option pretty quickly when they figure out it can get Mett killed.

The option was against lesser teams to have it on film. Teams will have to at least be aware of it.
I doubt LSU runs it much in SEC play.

thats precisely the reason that miles has limited his passing. Miles purposely wants mett to do mediocre so that he doesn't go to the NFL.

If he does have to come in for mett he'll have a max of 10 throws. I just pray it's not against Bama. Everyone else our backs can murder

Could he be...sure. If he is the starter in two years he will have had plenty of years in the program to get ready and he is physically similar to the QB he is replacing. If Mett is here for next season then Rivers could step in and do the same things.
It is possible that another QB could certainly come in and pass him up next year and start in front of him as a true Sophomore.
