Ever seen a coach say "We Have to Get Juco help" in the season?

Like Orgeron did? I can't remember another coach saying in a current season that they will Have to go sign a few Juco players after the season.

Never. Usually it's- we have to get better up front. He completely wrote off the player on the team... what kind of message does that send?? Even 0 has written off this year

He used the "I wont let outside voices divide us" bit 3 games into his tenure. All the dysfunction is accelerated.

Would you prefer he annouce over the PA that we need a kicker during halftime?
Also its great recruiting, if I were a left tackle and wanted to level up I certainly would call Coach O if I could transfer from a JC or CC.

What do we have ... 8-9 O-linemen on scholarship? We need 2x that and you can't rely on freshmen, so it only makes sense that you look at Juco's. Now why we have so few linemen is another story.

Agreed. Very odd and desperate to publicly announce that. I can't remember another coach ever saying that publicly during a current season.

sometimes politics are absolutely necessary. There is a middle ground when it comes to transparency and sending the wrong message to the team so early in the season.
