GG DR

It was quieter than it use to be even with more seats. The majority of people still left after halftime. Why even show up to the game. I hate these new fans that have ruined one of the greatest stadiums of all time.

The majority left when it was 31-10, not before.

Maybe us losing 5 to 8 games a year for a few years will be a good thing

I was there, and I was shocked at how quiet it was, even at the beginning of the game. What was weird was I could hear the State fans in the upper decks going nuts, like the sound in their section traveled better.

People leave early, I hate it but folks in general ain't what they used to be. With that said, the few times that LSU fans had a reason to get loud (not counting the last 5 minutes) that place was rocking. We sat nearly at the top of the west uppers and several times it was so loud that the place was vibrating and I couldn't hear my daughter and she was sitting right beside me. With the new south upper in place and a good game going on, believe me that place will be like sitting inside a drum. I for one am very excited about the future of Tiger Stadium.

Now, how to keep butts in the seats, no idea other than find out a way to speed up traffic out of LSU.

My two cents.

Yes it will.

Eventually LSU's football program is going to take a "nose-dive" to some degree. It happens to every major football power: Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC, Alabama, Michigan, etc., etc. etc.

When that happens, the expectations of a win virtually every time LSU steps on the field in TS will disappear. Fans will be caught up in the excitement of attending a game LSU isn't thought to be "100% assured of a win." It's why since 2008 LSU fans tend to stick around for the Alabama game.

It was a team that has beaten us like twice in two decades. Most fans thought we would just steam roll them (myself included) Bama will be insane regardless of our record.

If it's entertaining people will stay

If you're getting blown out at home against miss state that isn't entertaining at all.

they had more to cheer about

I wasn't there so I don't know, but some posters have talked about how incredibly loud it got when Hunter took it to the house.

PERFECT illustration of the fanbase's mindset, and why people leave early.

I was completely blitzkrieged by then. That may have been the reason why.

This is complete BS.

The majority of fans didn't leave until the 4th qtr when we were down by 3 TDs. I know I stayed to see if Miles would put Harris in. I gave up after he kept him in once more time and AJ was sacked on the 1. Im sorry Im not sadistic and I had someone babysitting my 2 year old. I don't enjoy watching that.

If the stadium was over half empty after the half then how did it get so damn loud after we had the defensive TD?

Yeah, the fans stayed almost the entirety of the game.

The people that made Tiger Stadium aren't going to as many games anymore because of neutral site and cupcake games. I know because I am one of them. I never thought something like scheduling would affect my desire to attend games but it has. I am not going to pay full price for season tickets with 3 cupcakes. That's on LSU. And I've said before neutral site is just plain going to ruin college football. College tradition is being pushed aside in favor of corporate. Both LSU and the NCAA are part of the problem. I may go to just Ole Miss and Bama thus year because I will feel that tradition a little bit. Give me a reason to pay good money to go to the other games. Sam Houston is not the answer.

the game opening and first half sure sounded like it was rockin'. I think when we layed an egg some folks left; sad, but true.

I'm trying to sell my NM ST game tickets and I certainly don't have people beating my door down for them.

I guarantee LSU fans by in large will stay the entire game for SEC games where we are not getting slaughtered having to hear opposing fans talk shite all night rubbing it in. OOC forget about it. Anyone expecting fans to stay 60 min to watch a practice game against a team nobody has ever heard of is a pipe dream and is certainly nothing new to TS. It has always been that way.

This. Don't believe a word of what Guilbeau says. When we cut the their lead to 17-10, it was insanely loud. If only the defense could've held on that 3rd and long.
